Mark's POV:
As we entered the adoption centre, I began to shake. I was sweating with fear. This was a huge moment for our relationship. I had to be 100% sure I wanted this. And I was, hesitant at first, but then was confident. We were going to adopt a child today....

"Hello Mr and Mr Fischbach-McLoughlin!", a friendly lady welcomed us. (We couldn't decide on who's second name we wanted so we both have both for now). We giggled and replied, "Please call me Mark and this is Jack.". She shook our hands and showed us the way.

We entered a large room with a climbing frame, swings, a ball pit, and loads more toys. Jack whispered to me, "I really wanna go in that ball pit Mark!".
"Jack! We are grown men!.....I'm sure we can go in it later!".
We both laughed.

There were lots of energetic boys and girls jumping around and having
fun. Two little girls ran over to us and pulled our arms over to play. The lady said that Jack could go and I could stay and talk to her about the paperwork and what we needed to do.

Jack's POV:
A group of about 10 children were throwing balls at me in the ball pit and we were having fun. But suddenly, I saw a girl curled up in a ball underneath the slide. Two boys were laughing at her and pointing. She looked like she was about to cry. My heart cracked in two when I saw her. I had to go talk to her.

"Hey there.", I said gently as I bent down to see her. She looked up at me with a scared face. I held out a hand to her. "I won't hurt you.", I said. "I saw how mean those boys were to you. They are horrible!". She moved slightly away from my hand. I took my hand away and sat on the floor next to her.

"Do you have a mummy or daddy?", I asked her. She was silent and shook her head.

"What's your name, sweetheart?"
