Chapter 1: Heartbreak

Lucas Heft

I'm so freaking horny. These stupid hormones aren't helping my case. I can't have sex with my girlfriend because she's all innocent. I told her I would wait, but I just can't. I have to break up with her. It's better than sleeping with another person and act like nothing happened.

At least I've got class.

I look down the hallway and see Lydia standing by her locker. I may be classy, but honestly I don't love this girl. I honestly just wanted to get in her pants.

I walk towards her.

"Hey babe, what are you doing?" I say while running my hand through her hair. "Hey! I'm just putting my books in my locker. I'm going to head home, but I can't wait to see you later tonight."

Shit.

I forgot that we were supposed to hang out later. I guess I'll just have to end it before we hang out.

I look at her. "Yea, um I have to go but I'll see you later." Emphasize on the 'you'. I kiss her on the lips. "I love you."

I Lied.

"I love you too."

Lydia Evans

My boyfriend's acting weird. Lucas doesn't usually just leave like that. I thought he was taking me home.

Guess I'm going to rely on my secret weapon. Mariana.

I text her to wait for me outside.

She replies.

'Alright! ;D'

I run out of the schools entrance. I walk towards the parking lot. I spot Mariana's white Camry Hybrid. I honestly hate the way she drives. It scares the living hell out of me.

"Hey Lydia!" she says running over to me. She gives me a tight squeeze, as I do the same. "Hey Mari." She looks at me with confusion. "Wait, aren't you supposed to be with Lucas? What happened?"

I looked at her. "Nothing, I guess he just had somewhere to go." She smiled. "Well c'mon let's get you home."

We went inside her car. I turned on the radio. Icona Pop 'I love It' played.

Mariana and I looked at each other, before we started singing along.

"I got this feeling on this summer day when you were gone. I crashed my car into the bridge, I watch and let it burn. I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs; I crashed my car into the bridge I don't care. I Love It. I Don't Care."

We both laughed as Mariana's car reached my house.

"See ya later!" I hugged her and waved goodbye.

I walked into my house. No one was home. Not that that's surprising.

I go to my room and reach for my iPhone. I texted Lucas.

'When are you coming? :)'

A couple seconds later...

'Not today'

'Why?"

All I get as a reply.

'Were Over'

Wait what? Ho- WHAT?! This must be a mistake. I reach for my phone to call him.
