Chapter 2: Neighbors,Dreams, & Birthmarks.
Mariana dropped me off at home from the mall. It was so weird I felt like there was someone watching me. I shook the thought away. I’m just going to go inside to start my homework.
Looking through the window in the kitchen, there’s a U-Haul truck. Why would someone move to Pine St? I mean it’s a great street don’t get me wrong, but it’s pretty expensive. Your family would have to have enough money to pay for it.
I decided I should go meet my new neighbors, since it’s the neighborly thing to do.
I walked toward the woman in the truck.
She had nice black hair that was straight and reached her mid back. She had nice green eyes and a pale complexion
“Hi, my name’s Lydia Evans, your new neighbor.” I said offering my hand for her to shake.
She looked happy to see me. As if she knew who I was. It was almost weird. But I guess that’s an understatement, since I see a lot of weird things around this neighborhood.
One time I was walking to the arcade with Mariana since she loves video games, and there was a man that was running around with underwear on his head. I’m not even going to get started on what he was wearing for pants.
But like I was saying, I offered her my help and she gave me a box. She told me the box belonged up the stairs to the last room on the right.
I did as I was told and I walked into her house. It was so different from mine. The walls were white and the floor was carpeted. My walls were a nice light gold color and the floor was wooden. I liked this new feeling, even though they might not keep it that way.
I wondered what was in the box, maybe it was clothes, or it might be a little person trapped inside.
Okay so I have an over active imagination. But I also just met her. Don’t judge me.
I looked at the writing on it and it was labeled ‘Stefan’s Room’.
That reminded me of the encounter I had with a certain bad boy in the mall. Man do I wish that never happened. I just hope he doesn’t bother me. Hopefully I won’t ever see him, only at school. If I was lucky, I wouldn’t see him at all.
I walked into the room without knocking, since I figured no one was there. My eyes met with a figure. It was a boy; his back was facing me so I couldn’t see his face. I’m guessing that was this ‘Stefan’ person.
He didn’t turn around but I felt the need to apologize since I just walked into his room without his authority.
“Oh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that anyone was here, your mom told me to come in and put the box in here. I’m really sorry.” I said as I put the box onto the ground.
Right when I was about to step out of the room I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and was shocked at what I saw. It was him! It was the Stefan from school. The bad boy.
