"But you must have the papers to let me know my husband-". Lady Edwina begun, as she sat on the mahogany colored seat, as she eyed Lord Sommersett with a look of impatience. She wore a red colored gown.
"M'Lady, your husband, Lord Thorpe, is not a Lord; Lord Thorpe is a commoner". He placed his glasses onto the dark brown colored desk.
"His parents were commoners-".
"He is a commoner".
"And how did he acquire a Manor?".
"By fraud, M'Lady".
"Fraud", she was now visibly ashen.
"M'Lady, I don't, in my humble opinion, do feel obliged to be the bearer of bad tidings...But, in some instances, such as this matter of the heart...will desire a sum of £100 in legal costs". He rubbed his mutton-chopped sideburns with both hands.
"I can't pay that".
"Aye, then he will be in Court. And be in the Tower again...M'Lady!", he grinned...as she burst out crying at the injustice of her predicament that she was in...again.
