Anastasia

"Ana? What are you still doing here?"

"I'm sorry, Mrs Hugh. I just had some work I needed to finish up and couldn't find the time, or silence, to do it at home"

"It's fine, Ana. But it's nearly six"

"I know. I'll be going now. See you tomorrow"

I pack all of my books into my bag and sling one arm over my shoulder, tucking my chair under the table and walking out of the classroom, smiling at the elderly teacher on the way out.

I stop at my locker and put in my combination, opening it and taking out the books I'll need to do my homework, then close it and carry on walking out to the front of school.

I text our driver telling him I'm finishing in twenty minutes so to leave in ten as I want ten minutes to myself outside.

As I get outside the front of school is dead, unlike usually with everyone pushing trying to get home from school. I look back down at my phone but instantly regret it as my body collides with something and I'm almost knocked over until something grabs hold of my arm and keeps me up.

I look up and am greeted instantly with a pair of hazel eyes, a look of both sorrow and worry in them. Golden skin, curly yet messy sandy blonde hair and muscles carved by gods.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you. Are you alright?"

"Um... Yes. I'm okay" I nod "Are you?"

"Yeah..." He says then looks down and gasps "My boards not"

He bends over and snaps back moments later, holding two broken pieces of a skate board.

"Oh my. I'm so sorry" I say.

"It's fine. I've had it for years. Was gonna happen some day"

"But I feel really bad" I sigh "What's your name?"

"Ashton Irwin"

"Ashton" I say "Meet me here tomorrow at four"

"Why?"

"So I can say sorry"

"Why can't you say it now?"

"Ever heard the saying actions speak louder than words?"

Our large family Range Rover pulls up and our driver, Matt, steps out.

"This is me. But tomorrow at four. Be here!" I call, rushing to the car.
Matt opens my door and I climb in, not before hearing Ashton shout.

"I didn't catch your name!"

I turn down the window and Matt cruises slowly by the side of Ashton as he begins slowly walking with the car.
"Anastasia Rivers"

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow at four o'clock Anastasia Rivers"

"Tomorrow at four Ashton Irwin"
I close the window and sit back, smiling.

"Good day, Ana?" Matt asks, smirking at me through the rear view mirror.

"Please don't tell mother and father?"

"My lips are sealed" He chuckles "Any where to go before home?"

"The skate shop" I nod "Then fro-yo, please"
