Phil knows he's avoiding interaction with the Phandom.
He knows he's letting them down.
He knows that they want videos of him and Dan,
not him and Sarah.
He knows they're wondering why they're so distant.

Really...he's just separate from Dan these days.

While he knows most understand that they're two different people, no one really gets why the gaming channel is so quiet, or why they haven't made an appearance in each others videos in a couple months. No one gets the pain behind their humor.

Dan and Phil are not fake outs. They aren't challenge followers, or react junkies. They're human as can be, on and off camera. Creative, and beautiful. Revolutionary individually, and separately.

Exaggeration? A bit, but the love is grand. The connection is enough to spark a community. A group of people simply in love with two boys who can make them smile.

Now it's like there's been an earthquake. A split in the system. A complete natural disaster.

Phil keeps his smile, his head up and blue eyes bright. He wears his colors and button ups and talks about crazy people he met on the train and his house plants. He's the same old AmazingPhil, but with a new girlfriend he's glad his fans have learned to enjoy.

Because together, they look happy.

So much is wrong.
So much is broken.

Dan is Dan. With a pretty dimpled smile on his cheeks and a together tone about everything when he speaks. A sarcastic, socratic, sentimental, specimen. But he isn't the same Danisnotonfire, and everyone can tell.

It's his down, the glint in his eyes. It's his purple stained under-eye and messy hair. It's his voice sounding low, but not sweet. He is the embodiment of exhaustion, and he's losing his grip on pretending.

He screams struggle, but no help.

Now, it's months.
It's been like this for months. It's become less Dan and Phil, and more Phil and Sarah, and the boy who can't hold on anymore.

Phil sees it all, and he doesn't know what to do.

So he does nothing at all.
