First Day. How Bad Could It Be?

After I find Corey, we walk to my locker and I put everything in except for a pen for class. Corey looks at me with are you a serious look and I tell him that the first day is usually just syllables from the teachers.

I close my locker, and I walk with him to the office so he can pick up his schedule and his locker number and combination. The secretary looks at me terrified and quickly hands over Corey's schedule. I look at it and my schedule to find out that we have Musical Theater, Physics, and U.S History together. He looks at me with a questioned look.

"What's wrong? Did they mess up my schedule?"he asks panicked. He looks like he's about to cry.

"No. I just seeing if we had any classes together. I didn't know that you're into singing. It'll be nice to know someone else in that class."
He looks at me surprised.

"I did not take you as the girl who sings. No offense but I took you as a girl who stays in a corner or really quiet in a class." I look at him in disbelief. But then I remember that he's new at this school.

"You didn't know this, but I'm known as the bad ass of the school if you can't tell by how everyone is scared of me," I say with a smile.

I walk with him to his locker. While I'm waiting for him to finish, I see Trevor. The school's bad boy. I bite my lip and look him up and down. He looks amazing like always I may be the bad ass of school but I still can get nervous when it comes to boys. Trevor looks at me and winks at me. I nearly die where I stand. I'm so entranced by him that I didn't even notice Corey was talking to me.

"What did you say? Sorry I zoned out."

"Let me guess, you think he's super hot and you would do almost anything to be with him," he says with a raised eyebrow and suggestive smile. He then looks at Trevor, looks back at me and winks.

"No that's not one hundred percent true, only 99.999999 percent true," I say with a smile. I look over at Trevor with a dreamy smile. I think of all the dirty things that I could do just to be with Trevor, when Corey catches my attention again.

He smiles and starts walking to his first period, while I hang out at my locker to be late. I don't like going to class as soon as the bell rings. It gives me too much time to think about my terrible life if I get to class right away. I like being late, because I can sometimes show the teachers how I don't give a fuck if I'm late or not. But as I'm waiting for the warning bell to ring, I start to think. Corey left right when the bell rang, he must be a good boy who does all his homework, never goes to parties, never misses a day of school, and is never late. If he's gonna hang out with me more often, he's gonna need to change how he acts.

I, Brooklyn Davis, solemnly swear that I will make Corey Anderson the bad boy of our school.
