"It's awfully cold. Wanna ride?" He says. I bend down to look at the kid that drove up next to me.
"Do I know you?" I ask. I've lived in this town my whole life and I've never seen him before in town. I'm looking in the back of my mind to try to remember him, when he asks again.

"Do you wanna ride? I was driving through the neighborhood because I had some extra time before school starts. If you want a ride, I can give you one so you don't freeze to death."

I'm so confused about what's happening that I didn't notice that it started snowing. I think about his offer and think 'why not.' But I'm gonna ask to make sure that he's okay with it.

"Are you sure that you want to give me a ride?"

"I insist on giving a ride to a pretty girl like you," he replies with a smile that I can't help but smile back at him. I get in and immediately am grateful that I took his offer. I put my hands in front of the vents that are blowing hot air trying to warm myself up.

As I'm doing this, he's watching me and smiling. I take this moment to actually look at him and his features. He had beautiful green eyes that seem to change to blue. He had long dark brown hair. And he looked to be about 5'6 or 5'7. I wonder what his name is.

I was so busy checking him out that I didn't notice that he was talking to me the whole time. When I finally notice, I start to blush and hope that he didn't see me blushing.

"So what's your name? I don't recognize you," I ask. I really want to know if we've ever known each other. He doesn't look familiar so I don't know, maybe when we were little.

"Corey is the name. And yours?," he asks looking quite interested in me. I try looking around in my "big" brain for the name Corey but doesn't seem to ring a bell.

" My name is Brooklyn but you can call me Lyn if you want." Most people call me Lyn. Even some of the teachers call me Lyn. Only my family calls me by my full name. I gave myself the nickname Lyn when I started 7th grade. That's when I started changing, physically and mentally.

"I think I'll call you Brooklyn. I like full names better than nicknames."

We are pulling up into the driveway of the school when I see my brother holding my penny board walking up to a girl. 'I think that's the head cheerleader,' I think to myself. Then he does something that I didn't expect at all, he kisses her! Oh hell to the no. My brother did not just kiss the school's head cheerleader. WHY DID HE JUST KISS HER!?

I tell Corey to drop me off and I'll wait for him at the entrance of the school. I get out and run to my brother, grabbing my board from his hand and waiting for him to turn around.

"What the fuck Lyn?," he says. He puts his hand on her waist. I mentally puke because of how cute he's being with her. I look at him with an "Are you serious?" look. He just shrugs and smiles.

"Hi Slut," I say to the cheerleader. She turns and looks at me like I'm some sort of disease.

"Hello Freak," she snickers at me. Why is my brother kissing the most known bitch on campus?

"Just promise me that you won't give my brother an STD please."

She looks at me with shock on her face and flips her blonde hair, grabbing my brother's hand and dragging him with her. I show him the bird for stealing my board.

I turn around and start walking to the school entrance to meet up with Corey. This is going to be a long day.

A/N: I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating a lot lately but my grades are starting to slip and my grades come before anything. So if there isn't an update for a while it's because I'm more than likely working on homework or helping around the house. I love all of you beautiful people. Thanks so much for the support

Hugs and kisses to everyone XOXO
