The next few weeks flew by for Ebony. She hardly ever left her room except to eat with Teepey in the kitchen. When she was in her room, she kept all the blinds open until the sunset, then closed the blinds and lit all the candles she owned until she fell asleep, for fear of being in the dark. She had no visitors, but she preferred it that way. One lazy morning, when the sun shone golden brown in the sky, Ebony heard a knock on her door. Sliding a bookmark into " Unicorns, the Angels of the Forest" she rose to open the door and when she did, she found herself facing non other than Draco Malfoy.
"What do you want..." Ebony muttered as she walked back into her room.
" To say goodbye..." Draco said, following her and sitting on her bed.
"Is..is it September first already?" Ebony choked, she had no idea Draco had to leave so soon.. " Yeah..." Draco said awkwardly, as if he had no idea if Ebony was saddened or overjoyed. He was suddenly wrapped up into an overwhelmingly strong bear hug.
" I'm sorry Ebony..." He whispered, stroking her hair, " You came to me for advice... and I made you cry..." He was met with a strangled sob.
"Please don't leave me here...." Ebony whispered. Draco felt his heart break in two. He'd never seen Ebony so broken and vulnerable, and he didn't like it one bit.
"Eb's you know I don't have a choice...." This was met with more sobbing.
" I won't have anyone after you leave..."
" Just one more year.. then we won't ever have to be apart for this long again." He cupped Ebony's pale face with his hands, her grey eyes spilling raindrops.
" Come on Eb's... give me a little smile.." Ebony frowned.
"Ebony...." Draco sighed. Ebony rolled her eyes but cracked a small smile.
" That's better.." He grinned.
" I love you Drakey..."
" I love you too Ebony..."
