Attack on Titan

Part 3

Four days earlier
*Blair's POV*

The gate was fading off into the distance while the Titan kept running. You'd think it would have noticed me by now but  it hasn't. It was only a matter of time though. Suddenly the ground beneath me got rocky and I suddenly hit my head off of something hard and blacked out.

I slowly opened my eyes to blinding sunlight. I wasn't dead, or maybe I was I couldn't tell. I stiffly sat up and looked at my surroundings. I was in the woods, somewhere. I froze when I heard loud footsteps crashing through the forest. The Titan was still here too. It lumbered past and I let out the breath I didn't realize I was holding. I looked down at myself. My pants were ripped to shreds and my legs were bloody. My arms and hands were in the same condition. I looked to my left and almost screamed. A severed arm was lying next to me along with other various body parts. I felt sick and wanted to run, but the Titan was still near by.

I needed to get home, now. But how. I had two blades and a half tank of gas which was leaking. There was no chance to use my gear to get there anyways, there was an open field between me and home. I thought of a far fetched plan, but a plan was a plan. I wouldn't go down without trying at least.

I sat in a nearby tree waiting for the Titan to walk underneath me. Finally it was right under me and I dropped on it. In one swing, using the little gas I had left, I sliced off both arms and was standing on its head. I reached behind my back and grabbed the gory mess of body parts tied together and hanging from a long stick. I stabbed a hole into the Titans skull and shove the stick in. The "bait was hanging in front of its nose and it began walking in the direction I wanted it to. Luckily this Titan was dumb.

After a while I left the woods and was in the same field as before. I could see the trail my body made getting dragged into the woods. I had to keep pulling the Titan back on course every now and again but riding on something that could very well kill you at any point was nerve wracking. I notice it's arms were growing back faster than I originally thought. I carefully lowered myself to its shoulder and sliced of its arm again. I quickly jumped and got the other one which didn't make it happy. It jerked its head back and grabbed my cape with its teeth. I was dangling right under its mouth as the gate came into sight, but it stopped moving.

It was slowly pulling me towards it mouth using its teeth and tongue. I began panicking and flailed around uselessly, trying to break free. I started choking  as the fabric around my neck tighten under my own body weight.  I stabbed above me aiming for the cape till finally it ripped. I began falling but I buried  my sword into its chest. The dangling bait was still in front of it and it finally noticed and began running. It was like it forgot it was there and forgot I was there. It was running full speed at the wall. At this rate I'll be crushed to death. I began hearing shouts from the wall and looked behind me. I was getting dangerously close to it. Right as the Titan was about to crash into it I released the blade from the handle and dropped to the ground. I narrowly miss being trampled by its feet and it ran strait into a wall. I got up an ran towards the gate.

"LET ME IN!!!" I screamed. I glance behind me at the group of Titans that had formed at the gate. I pounded on the gate screaming to be let in while the Titans closed in around me. Now I might be brave and the top student in my training corp, but when your staring death in the face with no escape I don't care how brave you say you are, you'd be scared shitless. I backed up until my back hit the gate. I suddenly felt the gate lift behind me and dived under it. I was grabbed by my shirt and dragged out from under it as the gate dropped closed again.

"No fucking way?!" A garrison soldier said under his breath. I was breathing heavily on the ground as I heard multiple footsteps come running over.

"Someone pick her up and take her to the infirmary at HQ, NOW!!" I was lifted off the ground and rushed off towards HQ. And of course I passed out again.
