The thing that makes people strive for their goals. Inspires them to achieve. More than humanly possible. More than success itself. It's what people believe in. When you are down and need some lifting up, it's there for you. But it can also be easily transformed. Made into something bad. Sent the wrong messages. It could lure you in, to a hopeless win. It could drag you to wrong side of hope. You must be careful. You must be watchful. For you never know what's lurking around the corner. You can never know if you yourself are destroying your own soul...

You can see it in his eyes, the dream, the inspiration,

The willingness to do whatever it takes

Having no thought as to how it might end

Living every breath, and every intake of oxygen to strive for his goal.

No shaking him, no doubting him, no killing him—

Or more as his spirit.

Beyond hope on hope itself

Higher than the sky, the birds, the clouds...no the universe.

Watching with wonder and unstoppable determination

An enormous amount of admiration, focused as he never has or never will.

A wonderful feeling, but a dangerous thing.

The devil appearing on his heart, climbing its way to the brain,

Turning his love to hate, his honesty to lying, his generousness to greed,

Unstoppable for all the wrong reasons.

In all the goodness in the world a dark spark lies in each and everyone,

Disguised as the angel, all good and naive, comes the want, the take and the will,

For all the wrong reasons.

Stretching far and wide, and high and deep, is the potential for an inner devil.

And once it reaches his brain, his mind will turn evil, no forces being ever able to stop him.

He will do whatever it takes to reach his goal, no matter what it might take.
