We expected that when the alarms went off a dozen armed guards would rush into the exhibit. Instead we got a lion. Well, it looked like a lion except it was five times bigger and much much frightening. It fur was jet black with a few red lines on it'ts mane which looked like blood. It had a row of spikes on it's back and horns on it's head. It's eyes glowed  blood red and everytime it opened it's mouth fire would blaze out. We tried getting out but it felt like someone had put an invisible wall and  blocked the exit. The monster inched closer to us.
"It doesn't look happy to see us." Said Zander without breaking eye contact with the beast.
As if to prove that he was indeed not happy to see us it blasted a fireball straight at us. We dove out the way. I thought the fireball would blast a hole in the looby but it didn't even make it past the doorway. It exploded like there really was an invisble wall there. Surely the explosion and the things roar would have caught everyone's attention but nobody seemed to notice. The receptionist didn't even flinch. The creature shot another fireball and this time we got up and ran. Me and Ana ran left and Zander ran right. The lion went after him.
"We need to help him!" Ana said as we hid behind a statue.
"Help him how?" I asked
"There's gotta be something we can do." Ana reached for her pocket and pulled out her phone. I didn't know what a phone would do against that thing.
She seemed either have an extra phone or was really out of ideas cause she threw the phone and it hit the monster in the rump. It turned towards us and roared. Zander was lying on the ground. The monster had managed to knock him down. He was trying to get up but he looked hurt.
"Great." I said. "We saved Zander. Now who's gonna save us?" I pushed Ana out the way just as the monster shot another fireball towards us. We both fell and the lion was now free to pounce us. It jumped and when it was going to land on us Ana raised her arms.

I closed my eyes thinking that we'd get turned into the world's most unfortunate scrathcing posts but nothing happend. I heard something like a car slamming into a tree. I opened my eyes and saw that the lion was a few feet away from us and trying to get up. A wall of golden light had stopped his pounce, and I realized that Ana made the wall.
"How?" She asked in amazement.
" Whatever you're doing, don't stop!" I told her as I got up. I ran towards one of the statues and tried to get it's sword. The monsters had recoverd from his shock and now charged at Ana. She tried to make another shield but she didn't exactly know how she did it. Nothing happened as she raised her arms. The monster swatted her aside. She hit a wall and passed out.
"No!" I drew the sword and immediately the lion turned towards me. I pointed the sword at it and it hesitated for a moment but not for long. It charged, and like an idiot I ran towards it. Was I crazy? Yes. Yes I probably was. But my body felt like it was on auto-pilot. Like I knew what I was doing.

When the lion jumped to pounce me I got on my knees and slid under it. I raised my sword and slashed it's belly. The lion roared in agony and it hit a row of statues.  I got up and turned around to face it. It shook the debris of it's mane and looked at me. It's eyes seething with pure hate. It launched a fireball at me and I dove to the side. I still didn't know how I was able to do all this. As I was getting up the lion had already launched a second fireball at me. No time to react or dodge. I slahed upward and intercepted the fireball. It exploded right on contact and I was blasted towards the wall near the doorway. The explosion should have kiled me but somehow I survived. I hit the wall hard and lion took that as a chance. It ran towards me. I lost the sword. The lion was jumped toeards me. I thought that was it but suddenly the sword I was using flew into my hands. I didn't have time to think about it. I jabbed the sword upward and impailed the lion right in it's mouth. It reared up on it's hind legs. I was holding the sword tight so it was able to throw me aside along with the sword as it got disloged from it's mouth. I hit a pillar hard. I seriously needed to get a back massage after this. Assuming me and my friends survived. The lion looked at me, this time it looked like it really wanted to shred me. It charged and I ran to the side. I know what I needed to do. I need space behind me. I ran towards the center of the hall. The lion hit the pilar but recovered quickly. It looked at me getting ready to pounce. I stood my ground. Come on you stupid cat I thought to myself. He roared and pounced me. I felt like time slowed down. As he was about to get close I jumped back and put the sword in front of me. The lion got impaled and it roared with pain. When we hit the ground the lion exploded into a pile of ash.
I got up exhausted. I turned to look at my friends when suddenly I felt something hit my neck. It was like getting stung by a bee. A very large bee. I fell backwards. The last thing I saw was the face of my professor Mrs Spellman looking down at me. She was wearing strange robes and she looked younger for some reason. There was a man beside her who also wore the same kind of robe she was. Then my vision went dark.
