* Gena's POV*
Harry and I sat in an awesome Chinese food joint about a mile from mine and Mike's hotel. "So, this John Levvin guy. Who is he?" Harry asked. I glared at the wall over his head. "He's a criminal who killed three innocent people." I muttered. "Allow me to rephrase my question." Harry said. "Who is he to you, Gena?" I looked at him. "How did you know I had a riff with him?" I asked. "Well, bounty hunters are usually called in for money. But you seem to want revenge, screw money." he said. I couldn't help but smile a little. "And how do you know I'm not in it for money?" I asked. "I don't know. It's just the look in your eyes when you talk about him. It's utter hatred." he said. "You look into my eyes?" Harry blushed. "You're not answering my question, Gena." he said. "You're not answering mine either, Haz." I replied, the nickname tumbling out of my mouth. He grinned. "I asked first." he said. I sighed. "He killed my parents when I was seventeen. They were the only family I had." I finally said. I didn't like to tell people this because I didn't want to seem weak. But something about Harry made me feel safe. I felt like I could tell him anything, even things I couldn't tell Mike. "Snap out of it, Gena." I thought. "He's nobody special." "Now you have to answer me." I told Harry. "Ah yes, the eyes question. Yes, Gena. I quite often find myself lost in those hazel eyes of yours. They're quite...hypnotizing." he said. I swallowed and hoped my face wasn't red. "Is that all you look at?" I asked. Harry smirked. "Is there another feature you'd like to show me, Officer Lauren?" he teased. I threw a napkin at him. "Only this," I said, flipping him off. He chuckled. "Cute." he said. I sighed. When things got serious again, Harry frowned at me. "What?" I demanded. "Are you and Mike....like a thing?" he asked. I was so shocked I laughed. "Me? And Mike Lane? Ha!" I snickered, making him blush again. "No Harry, Mike's my partner and my best friend. Why?" He blushed deeper. "No reason. Just curious." he said. "Then why are you blushing?" I blurted. I'd met to drop the subject, but with Harry my mouth had a mind of its own. "Well....I know we barely know each other...but..." he trailed off and huffed angrily. "Well, Gena would you like to join me for dinner tonight?" he asked. I raised my eyebrows. "Like a date?" I asked. He nodded. Again, words tumbled out. "Yes! Of course Harry." I said a little too enthusiastically. He chuckled. The waitress walked up to us and Harry payed the tab. "Nothing special," I told myself. But that, I knew, was a lie.
