Harry's POV

Gena threw herself into Liam's unsuspecting arms, and he quickly caught her before they both stumbled. He met my eyes over her head, obviously shocked, but didn't let her go. I just stared. Why did she seek comfort in Liam's arms instead of mine? Why didn't she want me? "Liam," Louis whispered quietly. "Take her upstairs. If she'll let you." "Gena, would you like something to eat? Or should I carry you upstairs?" Liam asked. "Something to eat," Gena mumbled into his chest. "Alright then. Let's go into the kitchen a moment." he said. I started to follow but Louis stopped me. "Let her be a moment, mate." he said.

Liam's POV

In all honesty Gena Lauren used to intimidate me. I mean, when I first met her and Louis they were both holding guns and attacking James. But when she arrived the other day at our home I couldn't believe she was the same person. I couldn't possibly be wary of this small, frail, frightened young girl, right? Wrong. The first day she was here Zayn and I both kept our distance. The next day we were gone all day. And today...today I didn't know what I thought. Until Gena was in my arms. And now I knew.

I wanted her.

But I couldn't have her. She was Harry's, for god's sake! I couldn't do that to him. And I saw how Harry had acted when Niall had said those things about her that first night. What would he do if I tried to make a move on Gena? What would Gena do? She certainly didn't want to date me. Why would she? She's only met me one time, and that day isn't a good memory. I felt like a monster, wanting another man's girl. Not to mention she was pregnant! What was it about Gena that drew so many men to her? I didn't want her until I felt her in my arms. And now I wanted to hold her forever and ever. But she would have to go back into Harry's arms before too long. She'd have to go back into his room and sleep in his bed before the day ended. "But what if Gena does want you?" My heart argued hopefully. "No, she does not." my head retorted. "Liam?" Gena asked. "Yes, love?" I asked. "What are you thinking?" she asked. "Oh, anything and everything," I said. "About you..." I added in my mind. "You keep looking at me funny." she observed. "Do I?" I asked stupidly. She may not be physically able to be a bounty hunter, but she still thought like one. I couldn't lie to her. I had to draw her attention to something else. Quickly. "Liam?" she asked. "What would you like to eat?" I asked. Damn. My voice came out too high. "You're changing the subject." she said. "You're doing it on purpose." "I don't know what you're talking about Gena. We came in here to get food." I said. Gena suddenly shut down. "Im not hungry anymore." she mumbled. "Shall I take you upstairs?" I asked. She shook her head. "I want to be alone." she said. "I don't think Harry would approve-" "Harry isn't my dad." I was silenced. Suddenly the door flew open. "Where is she? Where's my baby?" a male voice demanded. Gena stumbled to the door, looking shocked. "D-Daddy?" she stuttered. Well, Harry Styles wasn't her dad.

But Martin Lauren was.
