No one can make him talk. Not even his brother. Natsu Dragneel, the mute. But what will happen when a little sweet blondie comes and becomes his friend? Or maybe more.

Natsu Dragneel: A 17 year old boy who never talks. Has bubblegum colored hair and onyx green eyes. Goes to Fairy Tail High.
Lucy Heartfilla: A 16 year old girl who is very sweet. Has golden blonde hair and chocolate brown eyes. The new girl at Fairy Tail High.

~•Story Time•~
Lucy's PoV
"Konichuwa class." Ms. Mirajane greeted. "Konichuwa Mira-Sensei." The class greeted. Well, except the bubblegum head in the far corner in the back of the class. "Today, we have a new student! Would you please come up here and introduce yourself." Ms. Mirajane said. I stood up and walked up to the front.
"Hello everyone, my name is Lucy Heartfilla. I like to read and write and I hope to enjoy my time here at Fairy Tail High." I rambled and went back to my seat. "Very nice introduction Lucy-Chan. Let's now continue with our lesson." Mira-Sensei mentioned.
"We'll be working in partners for our history project. I will choose the pairs." Mira-Sensei continued. "Gajeel Redfox and Levy McGarden." Out the corner of my eye I saw a short,blue haired girl blush and a tall, buff, black haired boy smirk.
"Juvia Lockster and Gray Fullbuster." A raven boy a few seats away from me just grunted and a dark blue haired girl looked like she was about to faint.
"Lucy Heartfilla and Natsu Dragneel." Everyone gasped. The bubble gum haired guy raised his head. "Good luck making him talk Lu-Chan. He never speaks." The short blue haired girl whispered.
I looked back at the bubble gum haired dude. "Oh I'll make him talk. One way or another."
~•Time Skip to Lunch•~
"So Lu-Chan, you gonna try and make Natsu talk?" Levy asked me. "Yea, key word: try." I replied, standing up and walking over to where Natsu sat alone. "Hi, I'm Lucy." I greeted, sitting in front of him. He looked up at me and nodded.
I scrunched my face but my determination didn't fade. "So, what do you want to do for our project?" I asked. Natsu just shrugged. Maybe change the subject, I thought.
"Why is your hair pink?" I asked. "It's not pink, it's salmon." Natsu muttered. I smiled. Bingo. After a few seconds of realization, Natsu's eyes widened.
"The fish head speaks." I announced. "Hey, don't call me that!" Natsu demanded. I giggled. "Alright, fine then. At least I made you talk." I responded. Natsu grumbled.
Natsu's PoV
What is this girl doing to me? I'm not supposed to talk to anyone. This is weird, Natsu thought. "So, what do you want to do for the project?" The girl, Lucy asked. I shrugged.
"Anything you want to do, blondie. I don't really care." I raspingly responded. Jeez, guess I haven't used in a long time. "I have a name you know, but alright." Lucy reluctantly said.
"How about we go to the library to gather information?" She suggested. I grunted. "I'll take that as a yes. Come on!" Lucy commanded as she grabbed my hand and ran to the library with me chasing after. I felt my face heat up a bit and my heart beat faster. What the..?
