Prompt:
Taurtis is an outcast who ran away from home and found himself lost in an enchanted forest. After some while, he hears a beautiful and sweet voice. Wonder he'll find...

Character Info:

Taurtis: An outcast with dark night hair, dark chocolate eyes and fair, olive skin. (For some reason) Wears a blue T-shirt with a red and blue T printed on it and black pants and headphones. Very, VERY stupid, unless a miracle happens where he's smart.

Sam Gladiator: A male siren born with bunny ears, curly chocolate brown hair and blood red eyes. Doesn't wear much but his resemblance is uncanny to a human that you wouldn't notice a pretty cyan tail under the water.

Taurtis' PoV

I was running as fast as I could, far from everyone. They abandoned me so I abandoned them. Although it would've been useful if I packed some survival stuff. Didn't think that through. And I'm lost in a forest so I can't go back. Great. This is one of the times I wish I could use my brain.

I started to walk around for a bit, yelling to see if anyone was around. Of course, no one responded. Then I heard a soft voice singing. In an instant, I was in a trance and following the sweet sounding voice. I wasn't really in control of my body at the time, like I ever am.

I found myself in a clearing with a crystal clear pond with a boy in the center. Then the singing stopped. I got a hold of my senses again and looked at the boy. He had a worried face.

"Oh  no,  I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to l-lure you here..." He apologized in a shy and squeaky voice. I blinked, not knowing what he was talking about. "Uh, you don't need to apologize." I said. The boy was shaking as if he was scared. As if something was wrong.

"Are you okay?" I asked. The boy then froze. "Hide." He said. "What?" "JUST HIDE!" He yelled. I obeyed and ducked into a nearby bush. Then a creature came out from the trees. Well, creature is an understatement. (Big word used by Taurtis, holy shit)

It was a freaking werewolf. Twice my size and extremely buff. Like, buffer than my old teacher, Rowan. The boy was a shrimp compared to the creature. He was shaking so much but tried to keep a smile on his face.

"H-Hi D-Dom... You look as h-handsome as ever..." The boy stuttered. The creature, I'm guessing Dom, let out a deep chuckle that sounded more like a growl. "Why, how kind of you Sammy~." Dom said. Dom lifted the boys chin and brought his face close to the boy's face.

"You didn't lure anyone with your singing, right?" Dom hissed. The boy gulped. "O-Of course I d-didn't, I wouldn't d-disobey you Dom..." The boy stammered, sweating golf balls. Dom dropped the boy. "Of course you wouldn't, and I'll make sure of it." He threatened with an evil smile. As Dom walked off, the boy broke down.

I ran out the bushes to the boy and knelled down beside him. "H-Hey, please don't cry.." I "comforted". "Why does he have to do this to me..." The boy cried. "What does that...thing do to you?" I asked. The boy looked up at me with crystal tears still falling.

"H-He threatened to k-kill everyone I l-loved if I didn't d-date him..." The boy cried. I stayed silent, my rage slowly rising. "H-He abuses me too.." The boy continued. I hugged him. "Shh, I've heard enough." I said as I rubbed tiny circles on his back. He cried on my shoulder which fell numb because of how cold his tears were.

After a while of us like that, he stopped crying and pulled away, rubbing an eye. "You should probably go now..." He muttered. I looked down. "Actually, I have nowhere to go. I ran away from home. And I kinda got lost here." I responded, scratching the back of my neck.

The boy signed. "You might as well be a Wanderer then, cause you can't stay here with me." He stated, looking me dead in the eye. "Why not? Other then the fact of that werewolf dude." I asked. The boy looked down and backed away.

He ducked down under the water and I saw a shimmering cyan mermaid tail spring out from the surface of the water. My eyes widened and my jaw fell to the floor. The tail disappeared under the crystal water and the boy resurfaced.

"I'm Sam Gladiator, a siren." Sam stated, boldness embedded in his voice as he did so. I was in confused awe. "Hold on, lemme find my jaw, it's on the floor- Ah! Here it is- HOLY SHIT!" I joked. The boy smiled and giggled a bit.

"I guess it is a bit unnatural to a human." Sam said. "A BIT UNNATURAL?!?" I exclaimed. Sam laughed. "Okay, a lot unnatural." Sam corrected. I shook my head. "Whatever, what does the fact that you're a mythical creature that no one thought actually existed have to do with me not being able to stay here?" I asked.

"Well, my dad is...mentally challenged....and a bit over protective. If he finds out I lured someone here, he'll..um...k-kill whoever I lured here...especially males...." Sam explained.

"Okay, that's a sure sign I should probably leave," I said. "But I'm not." "W-Why?" Sam stammered. "I'm gonna help you get rid of Dom permanently and I'll deal with the dad situation later." I stated. "B-But Dom is too strong! He'll pummel you into a pancake!" Sam explained. I put on a stern face.

"If becoming a pancake means having you not worry about that meanie and keeping you and your loved ones safe, then bring on the syrup." I responded. Sam went silent for a few moments.

"Fine...but you have to get prepared. Come here." Sam muttered as he brought his face closer to mine. My face heated up a bit.

Then I felt soft, yet cold lips touch mine. All went black in an instant. "You brought this on yourself, but I accepted it. I'm sorry... Taurtis..."

That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
