Rose slipped into her swimsuit and to the pool. Chlorine over powered her senses and she smiled, before diving in. Lap after lap, she swam until she could feel her muscles threatening to shut down.

She pulled herself out of the pool and sat on the edge.

A splash! sounded from the opposite side of the pool.

"Hello?" Rose called out, looking around warily.

A shadow of a girl was doing laps, much like Rose herself had done.

"Who is that?" Rose rose to her feet and walked cautiously toward the shadow.

Another shadow approached the first, this one on the shape of a man.

As the she-shadow stopped at one end of the pool, same side that Rose was on, for a breath, the he-shadow put his hands on her shoulders and pushed. The she-shadow struggled to hold her breath and get free but slowly went limp. The he-shadow crept away, melding the shadows that lined the walls.

Rose gasped and surged forward, toward the limp shadow girl.

"Oh my god, are you-" she was cut off by the voice of a girl.

"Don't run. Come play."

"Who's there?" Rose whipped around.

"I can help. Don't run."

"Then-" a figure shoved Rose back, into the water, where the shadow girl was.

"Don't run. Come play."

Rose's body blackened and became transparent. A shadow.

Tow figures began laps, racing each other too the sun came up.

That night, two voice called out together, "Don't run. Come play."
