School was great! I mean when we took the school test to see what grade we should be in I tested out... so I already knew everything, but I have four classes with April! And I got to sit next to her in two! YAY!! I also got to talk to the science professor who told me that I should look into joining the science program here! Apparently it's run by a past student and allows the students to experiment on anything they want that's legal! My face hurt because I was smiling so much!!!

"Don... Don... DONNIE!" HUH?! I turned to see April waving her hand in front of my face. "Jezz Don, I've been calling you for the past five minutes. Come on, it's time for lunch."

I blushed, "S-sorry April. I guess I was just caught up in my thoughts." April sighed and forgave me before leading me to the lunch room. When we got there my brothers were already sitting at a table with Casey and waving us over.

I sat down next to Leo as April sat across from me. "So how was everybody's day?" Leo asked. A resounding 'great!' came from all of us. Mikey was talking about having the girl, Kat, in one of his classes and meeting new people but being bored other than that. Raph said he enjoyed Dodgeball in gym (those poor souls). Leo mentioned that the girl that showed us around, Chris, had a couple of classes with him and said she might join us for lunch. And, of course, I piped in with a love for the education.

Our conversation was cut short when a voice came from behind me. "May I join in?" We turned to see Chris with a tray of food in her hands. Leo smiled and made room for her in between us. "So how was your guys' first day? You didn't get lost did you?"

Leo smiled, "No, we were just fine, thanks to you." Chris blushed, "but I do have to ask, what is that?" Leo said pointing to the food on the tray. Chris was about to answer when a blur of yellow slid next to Mikey, nearly sitting in his lap.

"Kat!"

"Sup M.C.! So Chris you're coming tonight right? And don't you dare say you can't! We need you tonight." Chris sighed and nodded. "Good! Now who wants my food? M.C.?"

Mikey smiled and gladly took the tray from her. I scrunched my nose in discussed. That cannot be good for you to eat...

On the tray was a glop of brown with green and what looked like corn in it. Eww.....

"What are you guys doing tonight?" I asked. The girls looked at me and then to each other, then back at me.

"I'm sorry we can't really tell you that since it is part of a private function outside of school" A soft voice said. Raph jumped and nearly fell out of his chair, sitting beside him was the girl that he had saved in the hallway. She giggled, "Sorry about that, I should have made myself known before sitting down." We stared at her in shock... She just sneaked up on four ninjas!

Kat laughed, "We really do need to get you a bell, but anyways you're coming tonight too, right?"

Meabh nodded her head and turned to Raph, "Thank you again for this morning, not many people would have done that." Raph blushed and rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. "Any time." Looks like my hardhead brother has a soft spot.

I smiled ignoring the fact that the food my youngest brother was eating was now moving. I looked across the table to April but was surprised at what I saw. She was glaring at the three other girls at the table. "A-april? Are you ok?" Her head instantly snapped towards me and she gave a fake smile.

"Of course! Why wouldn't it be?"

I was about to voice my worry when a hand touched my shoulder and April's eyes got wide. "Don't worry about it Einstein, April here always glares at people she believes are moving in on her 'territory'. Isn't that right O'Neil?" April scowled and I turned to see a girl about our age behind me. The girl smiled and sat down next to me.

"I'm Lyra by the way, Mr. Luxs told me you were interested in the science program."

I nodded, "Ah- yah I am. I was going to see if I could talk to the head of the program when school ends."

Lyra smiled. "Well lucky for you I am the head of the program."

My eyes widened, "You're the head?! I-I mean... I'm sorry that sounded rude, I just didn't exspect you to be so young. I mean.. oh dear..."

Lyra laughed, "Relax I get it all the time! I am only 18 after all but that shouldn't come as a surprise to you. From what I have seen in your placement testing, I have to say I am very surprised that you decided to stay in high school. After all you are perfectly capable of testing out of college even."

I blushed, "T-thanks..."

"Anyways, I just wanted you to know that the science program is open to you and that we would love to have you be a part of us. If you decide not to join that's fine, but all of our equipment will still be open for you to use."

I lit up. "Thanks! I'll be sure to tell you my final answer by tomorrow!"

"Good! I look forward to it." Lyra said getting up, "Oh, and girls, see you tonight?"

"Yep!"
