Ray sang along with the music as he drove along, he was euphoric, he had just witnessed amazing things that God has done, it never seized to amaze him the different miracles that sprang forth during prayers. he was on his way home after the vigil, the moon shoon brightly Illuminating his way, he was sleepy but knew he had to get home to his family, Katie and Josh would freak out if they wake up and didn't find him. Every since Josephine died, he was all they had and vice versa. And he couldn't bear to see anything happen to them.

He had been able to convince Josh to put Katie to bed without him present and he would hate for her to wake up asking of him, that would even make Josh alarmed. She was his favorite, maybe because she is the splitting image of her mother. He  loved Josh just as much. Ever since he lost his wife, Katie who didn't seem to know much about death has had difficulty coping. She thought that mum went away and left them behind, at first she always cried whenever he had to leave the house. These days she only cries when he isn't there to tuck her in at night.

He was doing 90 on a 60 but he didn't care, the cops weren't around to catch him and getting home to his kids were his priority, as he reached the bend on the road, a ragged human ran out, he quickly stepped on the breaks, but he wasn't fast enough and the car started spinning.

Prisca continued on the trail till the moon started to shine, she almost cursed out loud. The chances of disappearing with the darkness was now reduced. She came across a dead pig that had almost fully decayed, there was an arrow stuck to its hide and an idea came to her. She immediately took some some twines and twigs lying around and began to construct a bow. She worked on it till it was done and she felt better; she wasn't going to go down without a fight.

She was exhausted and felt she had been walking for days. She continued till she came to a higher ground, looking around she saw the highway about 5miles from her location, started heading off into that direction. That part of the woods was much thicker.

She fell when she reached a steep slope. She tried to get up and that was when he saw him at the top pointing the short gun at her, she rolled to get side just as the gun went off, the bullet missed her by an inch and she wasted no time in getting up. She began to run.

After what seemed like a life time of running, she decided to change tactics. He was gaining speed on her, and her weak legs were finally giving away. She fell again and decided to stop running, she came to a clear area and stood with her bow at alert and waiting.

He came running and when he saw her. He stopped and smiled. Prisca might have considered his smile charming in the past but now all she could see was an ugly devil. He raised the gun at her.
'You think that will stop me? Am the one holding a gun. I should have killed you long ago' those where his words before he pulled the trigger.

Prisca felt the pain immediately, and released her arrow. As she fell, the last thing she saw was the arrow piercing his chest.
