I wake up and see that my rope is still in tact. Good. I walk to my closet and put on a pair of jeans with a black sweater as well as some flats before I walk over to my door. I take the rope off my door handle and open the door to see a tray of food on the ground in front of my door. Lucinda. I take the tray and walk back inside my room. I place the silver tray on my onyx nightstand before putting the white rope back on my gold door handle. I don't think I'm ready to see anyone in this house yet.
I sigh as I tear the piece of bread and eat it silently. I can't spend the day doing nothing though. I have to help Alek. After I finish my meal I take my lock pick kit and put it in my pocket before sneaking downstairs. "I don't know! She won't come out!" Anton yells from the kitchen and I hear Luca scoff. "She won't come out because you beat the shit out of her father!" Luca yells and Kale laughs. "That's not why she's mad! She's mad because I got into the fight with Ric and her father! She's mad because she thinks that all of you should have helped me." Anton snaps and I roll my eyes. They just don't get it.
I walk to the basement door and enter the password before walking down the stairs. I hear my father screaming to be let out from the third cell and sigh as I walk to the first cell. I open it to see Lillian and she smiles at me. "How lucky you are these rooms are sound proof. What do you want girl?" She asks and I sit against the wall across from her. She's the only one that can answer my questions. "How long have you been stalking my family?" I ask and she smiles. "Fourteen years. How long have you really been pregnant?" She asks and I roll my eyes. I never answered before why would I answer now. "Let me guess, four weeks." She says and I scoff. "I didn't have sex with Alek." I argue and she smirks. "Okay, fine. Next question." She says and I sigh.
I pull my knees to my chest and she tilts her head playfully towards me. It's like she's taunting me even though she's the one who's chained to a chair. "Why did you take everything from my mother's safe?" I ask and she smirks. "So you do contact them." She states matter of factually making me giggle. She's smart. Too bad I'm smarter. "Nope, I have three amazing bodyguards paid to do whatever I want. I told Ric I wanted the photos she kept but imagine my surprise when they found out they were all gone. I thought only one bitch has that big of a grudge." I laugh and she sighs. "I took them because I wanted to know where to find her family if you ever ran. That's where I first looked when I went to find out where you had gone. I also had someone else watching over Alek. But you already knew that." She says and I nod. That I did. I'll give her that.
She sits back in the chair and sighs. "How is my son? Does he still want revenge for me?" She asks and I chuckle. "You already know that answer." I reply and she glares at me. "Fine, you ask a question." She says and I drop my head against the wall. What to ask... "Why did you kill Gilbert's daughter?" I ask and she bursts into laughter. "That's what you want to ask... So it was you that let him out." She giggles and I nod. "Yeah, but I can easily make Ric and my father think you did it. All I have to do is plant the seed and boom it spreads like the plague... You kind of were an assassin and you did kill his daughter in a way to taunt him." I reply and her smile falls into an angry face.
I pout and push the hair from my face. "Don't make that face. I'm just being friendly. Friends warn each other of danger right?" I ask and she snorts. I guess she isn't as playful as she likes to seem. "Alright, so I killed his little baby girl. Oh, boo hoo. Everyone dies. She would've had her time." Lillian snaps and I scoff as I shake my head. She is so beyond help. "Why did you kill her though?" I ask and she shrugs her shoulders. "Because I could. Someone underestimated my skills so I proved them by proving I could kill his daughter and live to tell the tale. Get it?" She asks and I nod. I understand why but how could she do that? Who could live with that? I doubt even my father could kill a child.
I shake my head and push my hair out of my face. "Alright, why are you so scared of him then?" I ask and she rolls her eyes. "I don't know if you've noticed but his body count is much higher than mine. If he wants you dead then dead you will be." She says slowly and I chuckle. "So you have to be scared of him. That's amazing." I reply and she rolls her eyes. "Yes, yes, so fucking amazing. What else do you want?" She asks and I smirk. "Why do you wanna take over the Russian Mafia?" I ask and she chuckles. "Well, the money isn't bad. The job is easy and let's not forget how Vitaly fucked me over." She replies and I giggle. Oh, she is so easy to anger. "Vitaly really hurt you didn't he?" I ask and she scoffs. "People like me don't get hurt." She replies and I squint at her. Does she expect me to believe that? "You're right. You don't get hurt... You get angry. Angry enough to kill a woman and create an extremely elaborate and secretive plan to destroy the Russian Mafia." I say sarcastically and she laughs as she leans on her right elbow. "You know, if I didn't plan to kill you I think we'd be friends. If Vitaly hadn't cheated then I'd be proud to have you as a daughter in law." She laughs and I frown. Is she serious right now?
