I wake up on the floor with Rose's head on my arm and sigh as I lift my head up to look at Tony. His heart is still beating. That's good. I carefully take Rose's head off my arm and place it on the floor without waking her. I then leave the room to get her some food and see everyone in the living room. "How is she?" Artan asks and I shake my head as I walk by. Not good enough. They follow me to the kitchen and I silently make breakfast for her. "That pissed?" Ivan asks and I shake my head. "She's fucking broken because you fucks couldn't listen." I state in a calm tone and drop a pan on the stove. My father sighs and shakes his head. Wrong move. "Do not shake your head at me because you don't like my fucking attitude. I asked you for one fucking day. One fucking day to think of anything else. Rose and I actually came up with something we knew would work better than the original plan. But you couldn't fucking wait. So yes I am fucking pissed and I have the fucking right to be." I snap and my dad raises his hands in self defense.
I shake my head and start to make a ham and cheese omelette. "Tony asked us to do it that way. He knew he would die-" I cut Gilbert off. "That doesn't mean that you get to make decisions on your own! Take one fucking look at her! She is torn to fucking pieces over what you guys did! I don't give two shits if he asked for this! Ivan should have known better! Dad you've taught people to be better! How can you two even sleep?! As for you... I really don't know you enough to say you should've known better, Gilbert. I just know that the lot of you have damaged her in untold ways. You royally fucked her up and I hope you're fucking proud of yourselves." I snap and put the omelette on a plate before grabbing a fork. "Son wait a damn-" I cut my dad off again. "Don't you fucking start. You asked me to take this job. You are the one that asked me to be the boss. I am doing it. I am doing this better than you ever have. You killed a hundred men in a year. I've lost ten in the past three years! So you know what? Yeah, I'm a little fucking pissed that none of you fucking listened to me!" I yell and Artan sighs. "Alek calm down." He whispers and places a hand on my shoulder.
I shake off his hand and walk to Tony's room. I can't even look at them. I'm entirely disappointed that my own father can't even think of something outside of the people he cares about. He only cared whether Rose and I lived. But he didn't consider once how it would effect her. Rose is like glass. She may not show it but make one wrong move and she'll shatter. I walk in the room and see she's still sleeping in a ball on the floor. I gently place the plate on the nightstand by Tony's bed and take the extra blanket at his feet. I place it over Rose and walk out to get her some orange juice. "Why does she only ever drink orange juice in the mornings?" Ivan asks and I silently put the jug back into Artan's fridge. "She hates water because it's bland and she hates all milk except skim because it makes her mouth feel dry." I answer in a calm voice and leave the room.
I sigh as I watch Alek walk out and look at the three men in my kitchen. Retards. All of them. "He was right. You all should have known better." I tell them and they all look to me shocked. Is it that shocking? Really? "Excuse me?" Vitaly asks and I look to him. "You heard me. You may not have agreed with what he decided but you asked him to do this job. You asked him to be the boss. You should have respected his decisions." I answer and he frowns. "So I should let my son die?" He asks and I scoff. He's being plain stupid now. "No. You discuss it with him. Whether you like it or not you gave him this responsibility. So now you have to live with how he does it and if you haven't noticed he is damn good... Alek makes sure people survive his plans. He's not just pissed about the way your plan ended. He's also pissed because you guys couldn't respect the decision he made. The way he sees it is you guys don't respect him. And as for you, Vitaly." I explain as I walk to the fridge and I turn back to Vitaly.
He looks to me skeptically as I take out a beer and I close the fridge before leaning my back against the counter opposite of him. "You completely disappointed him. You trained him to care for his men. But you had no care for Tony and now the girl he loves is broken to pieces because the closest thing she ever had to a father is on the edge of death. Not only did you lot disrespect him, you disrespected her, and you nearly killed a man on your side. And in the end of all that you didn't even kill the bastard. That is why he's pissed. So I'm not going to waste my time explaining how you fucked up if you can't even see it yourself." I explain and Vitaly leans against the counter in sadness. I can't believe these people. If any of my men had done this I would've kicked them to the fucking streets.
