Request-Can you do a preference where you're a nurse and he comes to the hospital and is your patient?
Requested-Yes.
Ashton-"Gotta a patient for ya," the receptionist said as you walked up to her desk.
"I just got done with my break. This is too much," you said, shaking your head and trying not to laugh. The receptionist smiled, handing you a clipboard.
"Bay five, I'm coming," you said, and started walking away.
"Hello Mr. Irwin," you said, pulling the curtain back and stepping in.
"Is his nose broken?" you looked up at the very tall blond hair and blue eyed boy standing next to his friend's bedside.
"Let me take a look." you said. Your patient, first name Ashton, moved his hands away from his bloody nose. You grabbed a gauze and held it to Ashton's nose.
"How did this happen?" you asked. Ashton sighed; he obviously didn't want to tell, considering he didn't write it down on the sheet.
"I was playing the drums and whacked myself in the face with my drumstick," mumbled Ashton. His friend snorted, and Ashton whacked his in the side with his arm.
"Shut up, Luke," he muttered.
Once Ashton's nose stopped bleeding, you finally could examine it. You felt around, muttering a, "sorry." every time Ashton winced.
"Alright, Ashton, your nose isn't broken," Ashton sighed a sigh of relief, "but it is bruised pretty bad. I want you to ice it for twenty minutes twice a day, and you can also take pain relievers if the pain gets too bad. There is going to be a pretty good bruise, but it should be gone in three weeks top." you said.
"Thank you," said Ashton, and you nodded.
"Hey," you turned around, and saw Ashton walking towards you. A blush rose onto his cheeks as he handed you his phone.
"Maybe we could hang out sometime?" he asked. You smiled, nodding, and typing your number and name into his cellphone.
Michael-"I don't need to be here, I'm fine." you turned around at the voice and saw a guy with obviously dyed red hair, and a guy with curly brown hair was helping him keep balance. You grabbed a clipboard and pen and walked over to where they were sitting.
"Hi, I'm Y/N. If you could fill this out and give it back to the receptionist over there, I promise I'll be back as soon as possible to help." you said. The red hair dude sighed and started filling out the papers, while you walked away to go check on a patient.
"If you're not in pain, then why are you squeezing my hand so hard?" you looked up from the clipboard, an amused expression on your face.
"Would you like some pain meds, Mr. Clifford?" you asked.
"Yes, please," he gritted out. You went and got some pain meds, and came back. You grabbed Mr. Clifford's left arm and held it out.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"Looking for a vein to put the needle in," you answered. You found one, and stuck the needle in.
"The medicine should kick in in about ten minutes. Now, can you tell me how you hurt your ankle?" you asked.
"I tripped over a cord on stage and twisted it." said Mr. Clifford.
"Well, from the looks of it, from how swollen and bruised it is, I'm going to send you to radiology so they can do some x-rays." you said.
"You mean it might be broken?!" Mr. Clifford asked.
"The x-rays will determine that. Don't worry, it might not be." you said.
"Will I get to see you again?" Mr. Clifford asked. You turned around and looked at him.
"I'll be back to tell you the results of the x-rays, Mr. Clifford." you said.
"Call me Michael." he said.
"Alright, Mr. Clifford," you smirked, and winked, before leaving.
Calum-"Do you want the patient with a burn on the back of the neck or a patient with a compound fracture of the wrist?" asked your best friend, and co-worker.
"I'll take the burn victim," you smirked. Your best friend glared at you and groaned.
"You suck." she said.
"You're the one that asked!" you smiled, before walking separate ways.
"Hello Calum," you smiled, walking in. His eyes widened, taking in your appearance before giving you a smile.
"How'd you burn your neck?" you asked.
"Got too close to the fire shooting out and it got me," Calum explained shortly. You nodded.
"I'm going to examine the burn to see if it a level one, two, or three." you said. Calum moved so his legs were dangling off the side, and was angles sideways a bit so it was easier for you. You put on gloves and looked at the back of his neck.
"Well, Mr. Hood, you're lucky. You just got a first degree burn." you said. Calum moved so he was back to sitting normally.
"Thank god," he sighed. You handed him a slip of paper, and he raised his eyebrows at you.
"I normally never do this. It's my number, call me sometime. I'd love to come to one of your shows," you have him a smile before leaving.
Luke-"Nurse, hey!" you looked up, and saw an tan dark haired guy looking at you with concern written all over his face.
"What's wrong?" you asked.
"He's about-about to pass out!" the guy said. You followed him to the bay his friend was in, a guy with blond hair that was in a quiff, blue eyes, and he was very pale and sweating profusely.
"Why's he here?" you asked.
"He's been out of it all day." his friend said. You started checking things, and put an oxygen mask over your patient, his friend said his name is Luke's, mouth.
"Hi Luke," you said once he started coming to more. You took the oxygen mask off of him.
"What's wrong with me?" he asked.
"How much fluids have you drank today?" you asked. Luke shrugged.
"I dunno." he said. You looked over at his friend.
"He hasn't drank much of anything today." he said.
"I have your diagnosis, then. You're dehydrated. I'm going to hook you up to some fluids, and once they're in your system, you're good to go. And when you do leave, keep drinking water." you said. Luke and his friend both nodded.
