Writing Blog Time!

Hi guys! As a lot of you guys know, I went to a Five Seconds of Summer concert on Sunday, July 31 in St. Paul, Minnesota. A lot of you guys have been messaging me wondering if I could do a 'writing blog' of the experience. Of course I would love to do that! So, sit back and get comfy and get ready to imagine yourself at one of their concerts. :)

Friday-7/29

On Friday, July 29 at 5:00 am my dad and I hit the road for the 20 hour drive ahead of us. My mom couldn't come with because she had to work at the hospital that week. My brother couldn't come with because he had a 'baseball vacation weekend' with the team in Gettysburg.

Saturday-7/30

On Saturday, July 30 at 1:00 am, after many gas station stops, one stop at Taco Bell for supper, and my dad threatening to not let drive anymore because I wanted to try and find the boys' tour bus, we made it to my aunt and uncle's house in Shakopee, Minnesota. 

My cousin, Ava, and I ended up staying awake the rest of the night because I couldn't fall asleep for anything, and Ava is an insomniac. So, we talked about Five Seconds of Summer and what we were going to say to each of the boys when we meant them.

I finally fell asleep at 10 am, and slept a nice, refreshing five hours, waking up at 3 in the afternoon. Ava ended up falling asleep at noon, and stayed asleep until 6 pm. I went shopping with my aunt Kate in Shakopee, helping her pick out groceries, a new 5sos tank-top for Ava, and some more clothes.

When Kate and I got back, Ava, her, and I made cheesy chicken and rice for dinner. The whole time during dinner Ava babbled on about the concert, and I think my aunt Kate and uncle Ben regretted getting her the tickets the hour we were sitting there.

After helping Kate put the leftovers away and wash the dirty dishes, we all sat on the sectional couch in the living room and watched a marathon of Impractical Jokers until 2:30 in the morning. My dad and Ava weren't tired, so they ended up staying on the couch while Kate, Ben, Amelia(Ava's 20 year old older sister), and I went to bed. I ended up crashing in Amelia's room on her pull-out bed.

Sunday-7/31

On Sunday, July 31 at 6:00 am I woke up to Ava singing Jet Black Heart in the shower, which is right next to Amelia's room. I tried falling back to sleep, but with Ava continuing to sing and the thought that I was going to see the boys of 5sauce today, I stumbled to the kitchen with my three in a half hours of sleep I got in my body.

I decided to make breakfast for everyone, and made scrambled eggs, bacon strips, sausage patties, and buttered toast. Amelia had also waken up to Ava's singing, Kate and Ben wake up at seven everyday, and Ben and I woke my dad up, who was sleeping on the couch, so we could all eat breakfast together, and I didn't want it to get cold since I made it.

After helping Ben with the dishes, I took a shower. My outfit for the concert was purple shorts, a black Five Seconds of Summer t-shirt with their names and faces on the front in white, and grey Converse. I let Kate blow dry and straighten my hair. Ava had already blow dried hers, and Kate put it up in a high ponytail. Ava's outfit for the concert was the white wife beater tank-top with their Sounds Live Feels Live logo on the front of it that Kate bought her yesterday, denim blue shorts, and black Vans.

At noon, Kate, Ava, and I went out to lunch at Zombie Burger, while Ben, my dad, and Amelia went golfing at the local golf course in Shakopee. After we were done eating at Zombie Burger, Ava had convinced her mom to drive around to try and find the boys' tour bus. We drove around all over town until 2:30, because we needed to go back to the house. Ava was pretty upset that we didn't get to see the tour bus, but I convinced her that we could try and see it when we got to the concert venue.
