From Best Friend<3-k. :)

The rest of your afternoon classes seemed to drag on. You finally made it to the last class of the day, chemistry. Ever since you and Mr. Hood hooked up four weeks ago, you have barely been able to even look at him. You weren't embarrassed that you hooked up with him, it was something way bigger than that, and you haven't told anyone. Which is why you finally broke down and texted Kay.

You sat down in the back of the room at your own lab table, which you were thankful for because you hated sitting next to people in class. You tapped your pencil against your open notebook as Mr. Hood started writing notes on the board. You knew that you should be copying them down, but you couldn't, because then you would be looking at him. And he was facing backwards from you, which reminded you of the night.

The bell ringing made you almost fall off your stool, it making you get out of your daydream of all of the parties you had been to since the summer after your eighth grade year.

"Y/N, may I speak with you for a minute?" your head snapped up from looking down at your red notebook.

"Yeah," you said quietly. Mr. Hood walked back to his desk, and walked back up to you with a paper in his hand.

"This is your progress report," you took the paper from him. Your eyes widened.

"As you can see, your grade went from an A minus to a D minus. You've turned in all of the assignments, but haven't done good on them. And on the last test, you only got two right, Y/N, out of sixty five. What is going on?" said Mr. Hood.

"Nothing is," you mumbled. It was a complete lie.

"Then why have you gone from one of my top students to one of my almost failing students? Do you not get the material? Do you need a tutor? I can get you one." said Mr. Hood.

"I don't need a tutor." you said. You barely even knew what Mr. Hood has teaching the past month.

"Do you need me to make better notes? How have you been taking notes? Do you need some tips?" asked Mr. Hood. You needed to take notes, as many pages after lesson five were empty.

"I'll start to do better," you said, and walked out of the classroom.

"There you are!" exasperated Kay as you made it to your locker.

"Sorry, Mr. Hood kept me after. Speaking of the chem teacher, why weren't you in class?" you asked, putting your Algebra 2 book and notebook in your bag. Kay giggled.

"I decided to skip and get coffee from that small shop across the street. What did we do in class?" said Kay. You let a breath, zipping up your bag with your homework in it.

"I don't even know. I wasn't paying attention at all." you said.

"What?! Chemistry is your favorite class, has your favorite teacher, and it's one of your highest grades. Why weren't you paying attention?" asked Kay as the two of you walked down the hall.

"After I explain to you in the car, you'll understand. And it's not one of my highest grades anymore, the reason Mr. Hood kept me after class was to tell me I have a D minus." you said. Kay gasped from beside.

"You've never got a grade that low before! You need to start paying attention, missy!" said Kay.

"I know." you said. Your parents were going to kill you if they say you were almost failing your science class.

"Alright, so what do you have to tell me?" asked Kay as she drove down the busy highway. You took a deep breath before telling your story.

"That party we went to a month ago, I hooked up with someone. It wasn't a college guy like I told you, it was...Mr. Hood-"

"What?! Are you serious?!" yelled Kay.

"Stop yelling! I was looking for you, and he was looking for his nephew, Clayton. I almost tripped up the stairs, and he caught me. I kissed him, and we started kissing. When I put my hand up his shirt, he froze, and we stopped. I was going to go look for the strongest liquor at the party to make me remember what happened, when Mr. Hood said that we should go get a room. So, we did, and he went down on me a bit before we actually did it-"

"How was he?" asked Kay.

"Good. There's a bad part, though. I was suppose to get my period a week after that party, and I never did. The first few days after I didn't get it I thought it was just late, but it never came. Then...I remembered Mr. Hood didn't use a condom, and he came inside me." you said.

"You're pregnant with our chemistry teacher's baby?" asked Kay. You bit your bottom lip.

"I don't know. I haven't took a test yet." you said. Kay jerked the car to another lane, making a car honk their horn.

"We are going to Target right now and getting you a pregnancy test." said Kay.

Kay pulled into a parking spot at Target five minutes later, and the two of you went inside.

"Which one should I get?" you asked.

"The expensive ones, they'll be the most accurate ones." said Kay. You sighed, before grabbing a box containing three and costing twenty three dollars and twenty six cents.

"I should not be spending my paycheck money on this," you mumbled as you guys walked up to the registers.

"That's why you shouldn't have sex," Kay said in a sing song voice.

"Says the girl who lost who virginity in sixth grade!" you snapped. Kay chuckled.

After checking out, where the woman in her thirties gave you a disapproving look, you and Kay rushed to the woman's restroom and into the handicap stall.

You peed on the three sticks and set them on the toilet paper holder, waiting for the sign to pop up.

"It's been five minutes. Look at the first one, I can't do it." you said.

"Positive," Kay whispered.

"Been another five minutes. Look." you said. Kay picked up the second test.

"Positive." she said.

"I don't even want you to look at the last one," you said, standing up from the toilet.

"It's positive." said Kay. You let out a shaky breath, tears close to falling.

"I just fucked up my life." you said.
