Red,

All I see is red.

On my head, in the mirror.

Just inches ahead, 

Is it getting nearer or is it my head.

Then white.

White,

All I see is white.

So bright, like a floodlight.

Then red again,

Red.

Am I dead?

White,

Then red.

Then white.

Then red.

And it stays,

my soul set ablaze.

And then a voice.

I open my eyes,

to see the skies and a face.

screams ring in the distance

my hands are shaking

and i feel my feet move

they stop

i think im on the ground

the sun fills my eyes

all i see is white

i scream

my name rings in my ears

the screams no more

i open my eyes

with my heart set ablaze

a soft yellow light

flickers to my left

beneath me is not the ground

nor rubble

but a bed

a face twisted in concern

blinks on my right

arms wrap around me

i am not there

i am here

I am safe.
