Chapter 27:Calm for now

Ariana POV

Jesus let us all stay the night over. I'm in one of the rooms sharing with Carl,Carl had to practically beg his dad. I walk into the bedroom seeing Carl with his shirt off. I smile to myself walking up behind him and wrapping my arms around him. "I was just about to go in the shower, care to join me? And I need to clean all you're wounds" he says turning around, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Okay" he grabs my hand guiding me to the bathroom, He looks down looking upset. "What's wrong?" I ask.
"I don't want you to see me eye"
"Carl, I've seen it before, and to be honest I find it quite hot" we both laugh.

We stood up next to each other, the water running down our backs.

He grabs a soap bar and slowly cleans my back,I feel his fingers gently glide across my burns and all the bruises."I'm sorry" he says sadly.
"What for?"
"I shouldn't have let you go find Daryl.I'm sorry" instead of answering I cup his cheek in my hand, slowly letting his lips touch mine.i feel his hands pull me close to him. I slowly let go.
"I need to speak to Rosita" I say looking him in the eye.

I walk in to the kitchen seeing rick, tara, Daryl, jesus,michonne,Enid,Sasha, Rosita and Maggie sitting at the table talking. "Sorry to bother you, could I talk to Rosita?" I see Carl in the corner of my eye sitting down next to Tara. Rosita walks over to me and we walk in to the spare room, sitting down on a sofa (I'm British sorry lol) "I've missed you" I say.she pulls me into a hug.

"I wanted to give you this" I put my hand in my pocket, giving Rosita the picture of her and Abraham.
"Ariana, how did you get this-?" She looks at the picture memorised.
"I have my ways" I say smirking. She laughs and looks down at her ring on her finger. She smiled and took it off. Grabbing my hand and sliding it on my finger. "Abraham gave me this,when we were together, I want you to have it" i smile at the ring. Rosita stands up, "come on, let's go sit with everyone" I stand up following her into the kitchen. I sit next to her and michonne.we all talk for hours on end, bringing up stupid past events. Carl stands up and walks over to me.
"Ready for bed?" He asks,I nod and grab his hand while saying good night to everyone.we walk up stairs hand in hand. He walks in ,sitting on the bed.we both get under the covers, our bodies touching. "Are you okay?" Carl asks.

"I've gotta be" I say, I kiss his lips and close my eyes falling asleep.

"Suck...my...nuts" I could hear the sound of my uncles head being hit hard with Lucille. "Just stop this!" I shout looking up at Negan, my lips shaking.
"I told you not to speak" Negan shouts in my face, I wince. He steps away from me,walking up to Carl "now I told you,I would shut that shit down no exceptions" he hits Carl with Lucille.

I wake up, screaming.my breathing pace increasing by the second. I sit up, wiping the sweat beams from my face. I look to my side seeing Carl still asleep.i slowly get up, walking out of the room. I hear quiet snores coming from the other rooms. I walk down the stairs and quietly open the front door. I wanted to see abrahams grave, but I have no idea where to go. I walk around, looking up to the sky admiring the stars that shine brightly over the horrible world we live in. I squint my eyes seeing two balloons, I walk over to them and realise it's Glenn's grave and next to it lay Abraham's. I kneel next to abrahams. I put my hand on top of the mud.
"I'm sorry that we didn't spend enough time together,I'm sorry that I wasn't the perfect niece"

I felt a hand on my back, I turned around seeing Carl.He sits down next to me, passing me a crumpled up piece of paper "Jesus found this in Abrahams pocket" I take it from him.

"Ariana ,I'm so happy with how far you've come throughout these years,you have become the strongest and kindest girl I have ever met and Carl is lucky to have you.im not dying anytime soon but, I want you to have something to remember me So a piece of paper should do it. Honestly, I don't know what I would do if I never found you, when the day comes when I do die I want you to stay strong and keep you're and Carl's baby safe, because I ain't dying before that baby is born, I want to meet Carl or Ariana jr. so, remember don't give up
Abraham x" I look up from the piece of paper looking at Carl,tears falling down my eyes.

He pulls me in a hug.his hands holding me tightly.
"Abraham is so proud of you,and so is everyone else, I promise" he pulls away from the hug "come on, let's go back to bed"
