~ Nimmi's POV ~
I woke up in the middle of the night, not being able to sleep well. I kept thinking of the phone call.
I didn't realise that Anand was awakened by my movements. I walked over to the balcony and leaned my body on the cold metal. Anand went over to my side.
"What's wrong Mrs Gupta?" Anand asked in his sleepy voice. I took a deep breath and turned around, my back facing the railing and leaned back.
"I was just thinking about the call." I said.
"Call? What call?" Anand asked.
"From my dad's office's landlord. My dad bought the office space from him." I said.
"Okay. So, what's the problem?" Anand asked.
"They called to take back the lease." I said, after a deep breath.
"What? Take back the lease?" Anand asked shocked.
"Yes. We have a meeting tomorrow to see if we can still renew the lease. If we can, then, it's good. But if we can't, you know what will happen right?" I asked.
"It means you have to shut down your company." Anand said softly and he looked at me.
~ Anand's POV ~
I knew that this company meant the world to her so I needed to do something.
"But, we can't just stand here. We have to do something. Wait, let me handle this." I said and walked away. But I was stopped by Nimmi.
"There's nothing you can do, it's too late. We just have to wait for tomorrow. Thanks Anand. But, let them handle this. The thing I'm worried about is our remaining projects. I can't just leave them hanging like that." Nimmi said.
"For us Architectural firms, if our company shuts down, our remaining projects will be taken over by other companies. So don't worry." I said.
"Thanks Anand!" Nimmi said, hugging me.
"It's no problem. I have to support my wife. Come on, let's go to bed." I said and Nimmi nodded.
