~ Anand's POV ~
"Nimmi, open the door." I said, knocking slowly.
No response.
"Nimmi, please, open the door. Let me explain." I knocked again.
"Nimmi, if you aren't going to let me in, I'm going to unlock the door myself." I said sternly.
The door was unlocked and I went inside. Nimmi sat on her bed, her back facing me.
"Nimmi." I called out, slowly putting my hand on her shoulder but she brushed it away.
"Nimmi, please. Listen to what I have to say." I begged.
"What? What is there for you to even say? That you're planning to marry her?" Nimmi replied harshly.
"No! I don't know why she's doing this. There's nothing going on between us." I said.
"How can I be sure?" Nimmi asked, starting to cry.
"Nimmi, please, trust me. I really don't know that this was going to happen." I said.
Nimmi nodded slowly, still crying and turned to face me.
"Okay, but if you really didn't know that this was going to happen, why is she here? Why is she disturbing you?" Nimmi asked.
"Nimmi, this happened two years ago. I've explained everything to Ma so I'm just going to cut it short for you so you won't get confused." I said, regaining my confidence again.
"I'm listening." Nimmi said sternly.
I told Nimmi everything and everything went silent that you could even hear a pin drop.
"Why did she do that? I mean, you're so kind." Nimmi asked.
"It was because of my kindness that she became like this. So, in simpler words, she took advantage of it." I said. There was a moment of awkward silence and Nimmi sighed.
"Anand, I hope you understand but, I need time to recover from this. That message came by as a shock for me and I need the time to cool off and think about the things you said. So, if you can please go out for awhile so that I can do the necessary. Don't worry, I'll be fine." Nimmi said. I nodded slowly and walked out, closing the door behind him.
~ Nimmi's POV ~
I lay down and turned towards the balcony. Slowly thinking about the events that recently happened and how it almost shattered me into pieces and could eventually led to my divorce.
I'm deeply in love with my husband and I don't even want to think about separation with him. I'm carrying a part of him, a part I'll get to keep and say it's mine forever.
~ Anisha's POV ~
I went to Diana's office.
"Can I please meet Diana Kapoor? Tell her that it's Mrs Anisha Gupta from The Gupta Holdings." I said.
"I'm sorry Ma'am but Miss Kapoor isn't in, she out to meet a client. If it's really urgent you can meet her father Mr Yuvraj Kapoor or you can leave a message." The secretary said.
"Ok, I would like to meet Mr Yuvraj please, because this is urgent." I said and the secretary nodded.
After making a call, the secretary cut the call and faced me.
"Ok Ma'am, Mr Kapoor will see you now. Go straight ahead from here and it's the first room to your left." The secretary said.
"Alright, thank you." I said and walked the direction shown.
I knocked on his door.
"Come in!" Mr Kapoor shouted from inside.
I opened it and stood there.
"Raj." I said and it shocked Mr Yuvraj.
"Anisha? Come, sit." Mr Yuvraj said.
"Raj, we need to talk." I said, sitting down.
"Go on." Mr Yuvraj answered.
"This is regarding my son and your daughter." I said.
"What's wrong with them?" Mr Yuvraj asked.
"Did you know? Your daughter texted Anand very early this morning. It's not just an ordinary text. It's a love text. And my daughter-in-law, who just knew about her pregnancy, saw it." I said.
"And what kind of love text is this?" Mr Yuvraj asked, looking shocked.
I asked Nimmi earlier to send the message to my phone so that I could let Diana read and explain herself.
I passed the phone to Mr Yuvraj.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry Mrs Anisha. I promise I'll put a stop to this. Don't worry." Mr Yuvraj said, passing the phone back to me.
"You better. I'm here to save my two children's marriage. And if anything happens, I'll blame your daughter. " I said, keeping my phone in the bag.
"Wait, Anisha, before you go, how are they doing now? Your daughter-in-law and Anand?" Mr Yuvraj asked.
"They aren't on talking terms. I'm afraid it's going to be over between them. Furthermore, she's pregnant. I worry what'll happen between them." I said.
"I'm really sorry for all this Anisha. What's your daughter-in-law's name?" Mr Yuvraj asked.
"The owner of Khanna Holdings, Mr Danny Khanna's daughter, Mrs Nimmi Gupta - Khanna." I said with pride.
"I didn't get Anand married off to her because she has a status, because she has a clean heart. She married him sincerely and most importantly, she didn't leave him on the dais. Also, I know she can take good care of him." I continued.
"Anisha, look, I'm really sorry for—" Mr Yuvraj said but was cut off.
"Enough Raj. You've said enough. I'm taking my leave and you better settle this." I said, turning on my heels and leaving.
