We arrived at a restaurant after about a thirty minute drive. The restaurant had fairy lights streaming around the outside dining area.
We walked in and the inside was just as magnificent; white walls with metallic gold patterns on the wall, a nice light brown wooden floor, gold table cloth, and to top it all of, in the center of the room hung a huge Chandelier.
"How many?" A squeaky voice said breaking me out of my thoughts. I turned around and there stood a waitress wearing tons and tons of makeup. Literally the definition of 'cake.' "Actually we're joining a party." Sebastian told her. She looked at me when he said 'we're' and gave me the death look. She looked disgusted at me for a second until her eyes trained back onto Sebastian where she gave a broad smile.
"Follow me this way!" She said cheerily. Once we reached the table, I saw Felix and a beautiful Latino sitting next to him. She was slightly tanner than him, but still really pale. She had beautiful, flowing, long black hair and a mixture of green and brown for eyes. Her cupid's bow was pierced with a silver stud in it. Her makeup was on fleek and her hair was in the most perfect curls that I have ever seen. Don't even get me started on her dress?
"Hi. I'm Auburn McCoy, and you are?" I asked while sticking out my hand for her to hold. She looked at my hand, then stood up and pulled me into a hug. "I'm Caroline Foxx. Nice to meet you. Might I say, you look very lovely this fine evening." She complimented me. "Oh, trust me hun, if you saw me in the morning you would be wishing you hadn't said that." I laughed and she laughed as well, making me feel a weight coming off of my shoulders. "Plus," I carried on. "You are way prettier than I am." She thanked me and sat back down in her spot. I sat across from her and our 'dates' took their seats, smiling at us.
After a while of talking, the same woman from earlier came back to take our orders. "Hi. My name is Cassandra and I will be your server today. What would you gentlemen like this evening?" She asked, a fake smile plastered onto her face. Caroline looked at each other and rolled our eyes. "I'll have the Steak, medium rare that is, a side of a baked potato and fries, with... Cranberry juice." Felix said, his voice going deep at the end. Cassandra wrote his order down, then looked at Sebastian. "I'll have the same, except exchange the fries for a salad." He told her. "Okay, I'll have you guys' orders ready in a bit." She said and began to walk off, but Caroline and I stopped her.
"Um, excuse me ma'am, but you didn't take our orders." We said in unison. Literally, in every fan-fiction I read, there is always, that one bitchy waiter or waitress. I just didn't think fan-fiction could become real. Cassandra waltzed back over to our table and rolled her eyes. "Excuse me, but is there a problem?" Caroline asked. "Yes, you whores shouldn't be here." She said, "Now what do you want?" She asked without looking at us. "The caesar salad with ranch dressing and a Diet Coke." I replied, seeming Caroline looked like she hadn't made up her mind. "Same, but a Sparkling Water with mine." Caroline decided.
When Cassandra walked off, Caroline and I began to get into a deep conversation about her. "I know right, she was such a bitch and that makeup! Like honey, who taught you how to do it? Honey Boo Boo?" I said and Caroline began to die with laughter while I slightly chuckled at my stupidity. The guys stopped their conversation and turned to us with smirks plastered in their faces. "What?" Sebastian asked looking between the both of us. "Nothing." Caroline and I said at the same time. This only grew their confusion. "No. Tell me." Felix jumped in laughing. "Okay, okay. We were talking... about the waitress." Caroline finally explained to them and we looked at each other and laughed once more. Out the corner of my eye, I saw her coming back with the tray full of food. "She's coming back." I whispered to Caroline. She rolled her eyes, then situated herself.
Cassandra placed the food down onto the table, and we slid it to the correct person that it was supposed to go too. As she was placing down the drinks, I heard an 'oops' come from her and felt a liquid poring down my scalp, my spine, and into my dress. I shrieked and looked over at Caroline to see she was in the same state. I jumped up from my seat, and Caroline followed after me. I saw Cassandra laugh and sit in the seat that I was once sitting in.
People from everywhere were staring at us run as fast as we could in our heels toward the door. "Wait! Wait! Wait!" I heard coming from behind us and I saw Felix and Sebastian running after us. We made it out of the door and ran down the busy sidewalk of New York City. We would surely get lost in the crowd and they wouldn't be able to find us. I grabbed Caroline's hand as we ran through the crowd, so we wouldn't get lost.
We ran past billboards, restaurants, fast-food places, and neighborhoods. The longer we ran, the more my feet began to hurt from the impact of the heels against my feet. Caroline began to run faster, as if her heels weren't killing her. Sooner or later, Caroline was basically dragging me through the maze of people.
Our hands began to slip apart, and I tried to hold on longer. It didn't work. Our grip was lost and I heard her call my name, but I didn't see any sign of her. The sound grew softer and softer until I couldn't hear it anymore. There I was; standing in the middle of Times Square looking crazy, makeup running down my face, my dress ruined, I'm dripping wet, and no-one I know was around for miles.
D'Erica wrote this chapter.
I feel bad because I made Belcy do the half of the last chapter because I didn't have any ideas.
I'll do the next chapter as well.
^If she lets me.
