I'm here in times square all by myself, lost. I hate to admit it, but I'd rather be with Sebastian right now. I thought about asking someone to use their phone, but I don't know Sebastian's number and who else could I call.
I decided that my best option was to retrace my steps and go where I just came from. I just remembered how crazy I must look. My makeup, hair, and dress ruined. I bet this dress was expensive too. It probably cost more than her entire salary.
In the distance I see a familiar face, Felix. I run up to him to check and see if it was really him. It was! "Felix!" I yell. He turns his had to see where my voice was coming from.
"Thank goodness we found you, Sebastian is out looking for you. Where is Caroline?" He asked just realizing that she wasn't with me.
"I lost her, she was running way to fast and I couldn't keep up with her. I'm sorry." I say while looking down, he was probably sad that she was gone.
"Oh, she'll probably be at her apartment by now."
"Really? She lives close by?" I asked surprised that she could get that far in heels.
"Uh, I guess you could say that. I'll tell Sebastian that you're with me." He pulled out his phone and proceeded to call Sebastian.
Sebastian came after 5 minutes, in those 5 minutes we were in complete silence. I could tell he wanted to say something sometimes, but he just stayed silent.
We arrived at the house, about 30 minutes later and I could finally see the exterior. It was a lovely mansion with stone-brick walls covering the outside. There was fake moss in the corners of the walls.
I walked in front of Sebastian and Felix, trying to quickly get into the house. I twisted the doorknob, but it was locked. Great! I stood there, arms crossed, waiting for one of them to come and unlock the door.
"Alright. Alright. I'm coming. No need to catch an attitude." Sebastian told me while jingling the keys in his very pale hand. "It's not my fault that you were the one that threw it." I said with a roll of my eyes.
Sebastian opened the door and pushed it slightly harder than needed. It slammed on the wall and the door handle lodged into the wall, cracking a hole into the wall. Sebastian looked at me with a scowl on his face and I just rolled my eyes and stepped inside.
I turned a corner and there stood Caroline stood in a fighting stance with a plastic fork aimed at me. Out of instinct, I spun around and kicked the fork out of her hand. The form went flying and lodged itself right into the wall next to her. Caroline seemed shocked for a second, but quickly adjusted to what happened.
I heard footsteps run into the hallway, but Caroline and I stood like a mannequin glued to our spots. "Caroline? How did you get in here baby?" Felix asked walking around me and hugging Caroline from behind. I seemed to snap out of it and smiled at Caroline.
"I have keys to the house." Caroline said while jingling the keys in front of his chiseled features. His eyes seemed to follow the keys and it made his look like a dog wanting a bone.
"Well, I'll just be going to sleep now. Pretty rough day." I said feeling slightly uncomfortable with their relationshipy ness.
"Alright I'll see you around?" Caroline asked as I nodded to her question. I began to slowly shuffle out of the hallway, then just walked off.
I turned the corner and Sebastian was sitting right there on the couch. He was staring off into space as the static on the TV was filling the soundless room. His breathing seemed to be really shaky and his eyes were filled with darkness and despair.
I pretended as if I didn't see him and just proceeded to walk toward the dark wooden staircase. "Auburn can you please come here for a second?" He asked me, stopping me from walking any further. I hugged and quietly walked over to Sebastian. He held his hand out for me to take and I denied it, seeming he isn't one of the greatest people on Santa's Christmas List at the moment.
"Love, listen to me please. I'm sorry for that waitress back there at the restaurant. And I'm sorry for getting so upset with you over nothing earlier. I guess I was just mad at the waitress." He said while getting down onto the floor and begging me to forgive him. Wow... cliché.
I crossed my arms over my chest and pretended to think about it. I honestly didn't care, but I did at the same time... if... that makes any sort of sense.
"I guess I forgive you." I announced and he got up from the floor and hugged me, taking me by surprise. I guess he finally realized what he was doing and he let go. There was a comfortable silence after that where we just stared into each other's eyes.
"Aww. Look at you two. Being all cute and shit." I heard a deep voice say, breaking the once comfortable silence. My cheeks began to burn and my cheeks flushed a light pink. I took a step back from Sebastian before waking away fully.
I waked quickly up the stairs and came across my door after a few turns of the corners. I didn't bother to mess with a shower. I pulled off the ruined dress and took the shoes off. I placed the shoes back into my closet and the dress on the couch in front of the fireplace.
I walked into the bathroom, turning the light on in the process. I grabbed the makeup removers that were laying on the counter. Taking one, I swiped it across my face taking all of the excess makeup off that didn't wash off with all the crying and rain that was happening.
I exited the bathroom and got under my soft covers. Dammit! I forgot to turn off the light! I got out of the comfort of my covers and quickly turned off the light; both to the bathroom and my room. I got back into my covers and let the darkness wash over me.
