Quesoftheday: What do you think about the speed of the story plot? Like is it really fast or too slow? How do you want it and why?
Weeks have passed and I'm still living in Mani's house, working as a florist beside Mani's bakery. Today I've a day off from work so I'm helping Mani in her bakery. I often help her whenever I get time as she works here alone. I don't do the kitchen stuffs much but I deal with the customers outside.
The distance between me and Madison hasn't decreased but we don't talk unless it's really necessary. I need time to forget the entire thing which has taken place between us, need time to understand and cope with everything. My dreams, my hopes, everything has been shattered and I need time and more strength to heal it. I dreamt of living here happily with Madison and what did I get? I'm living here with Madison but in the unhappiest state of my life.
"I need some butter here Snow." Mani's voice reaches my subconscious mind and the bowl of dark chocolate bars slip off of my hands.
"Coming Mani." I yell and walk fast towards the oven grabbing the bars.
"Why there are so many customers today?" She asks, tired of baking without any rest.
"Because you're looking gorgeous today with all the cream over your face." I tease passing her a napkin and she smacks my arm.
Grabbing the tray full of cupcakes, I go outside and see customers waiting already. Putting the tray on a side, I pull out my gloves and walk to the counter.
"Hi! You're.........."
"Summer, nice to meet you again Snow. You work here?" She asks smiling. She doesn't smile but I love her rare smile anyway.
"Yeah, not daily. I was just helping Mani in her shop. How have you been? It's really a great surprise that we've met again." I smile and keep the cheesecake tray on display.
"I live in this area if you've forgotten. I'm visiting my namma today and she loves cupcake. So just stopped here." She chuckles.
"Oh." I smile and fill a box with ten cupcakes as she asks me to.
During processing her order, she tells me that her online classes of the first semester is going to end soon and she'd be leaving for NYC in a day or two. She asked me about my educational status and I tell her about my search for a suitable one.
"Here's my number, I know someone who can help you to get admitted in my university in the upcoming semester though the official admission date has closed a long ago." She waves her hands before getting out. I save her number in my mobile and start to deal with the customer's again.
"One Snow please?"
Hearing the voice I look up and my eyes pop up like a fish in a waterless aquarium. For the first time ever, I've seen a man with a bun in his head.
"Snow is any............" I look behind and discover Mani behind me.
Mani and Harry face to face! No! No! This couldn't be any worse!
"Where are you lost Snow darling! We are having customers here." Mani smiles looking at me and a nervous smile slips from my lips.
Harry looks at me with grin covering his face and I intend to enter inside the kitchen rolling my eyes.
