The gentle breeze of the cool air brushed against Rebecca's body as she pedaled uphill on her city bike up on the sidewalk located in downtown Seaside, Oregon. She smiled briefly to herself smelling the fresh rain. Rebecca loved the smell of the sweet, fresh powerful evocative smell of fresh rain hitting the Earth's dry soil. As the wind carelessly blew, her blond hair that had a tint of green flew back behind her freely. Rebecca felt the sensation of the tiny thin hairs on her arms and the back of her neck stick up as chills overcame her body. She turned right around a local bakery shop that gave off the smell of the fresh baked bread that they always made around noon. Rebecca now came in view the bright blue clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Her electric sea green eyes darted to see that kids were already playing in the sand and adults were already laying down on a towel preparing to tan. Rebecca dropped her feet to the ground and slowly skidded her bike to a stop. As she released the kickstand to her bike, another gust of wind forced her to shiver. She leaned against the old wooden railing that was connected to a dock that gave her an overview of the ocean. She rubbed her bare and cold arms. Rebecca was only wearing a thin black graphic t-shirt with the words "Make things happen," printed out on it and white jean shorts. She heard the whispering of the crashing waves against the shore and the echoes of seagulls cries and thought of it to be the most relaxing sound she has ever heard.
His rich chocolate brown eyes focus on kids screaming happily as they played in the ocean's water. They would squeal in excitement once the waves crashed against their bear feet, and then they would fall into the water or storm or away to their parents. The sun beat down onto the sand giving Dale a warm feeling even though it was chilly outside. He crossed his arms trying to warm himself up. Dale was dressed in a long sleeved maroon and gray shirt, and light blue jeans. He dug his bare feet into the cool sand and giggled to himself. Dale's dark brown hair was swept to one side, but every time there was a cold brush of wind it would mess up his hair. He smelt the salt air, felt the gently breezes against his bare skin, and heard the sounds of nature. It pleased him that this was his home. His curious eyes wandered around the beach to see a girl standing gently against the old wooden railing of the doc. His body tensed and heated up. Dale knew this girl, they had recently met at the local ice cream shop in downtown but was too afraid to ask her for her number. He stood straight up and brushed off the dry sand off his jeans. Dale was almost a full six feet tall and barely one hundred sixty pounds. His mouth became dry, his head pounded with a million thoughts an second, and his hands were shaking uncontrollably. Dale placed his hands in his pockets to hide the fact he was so nervous. He told himself to calm down as he made his way over to the girl he had met at the ice cream shop.
