"OW!"
A brown and tan female otter with blonde hair yelped in pain as she fell on her back. Her opponent was an black, amber, and cream wolfess with black hair whom was in a ready stance and smirking.
"UMBRA! How many times do I have to tell you?! Not that hard!"
The wolfess rolled her eyes and stood up, getting out of her stance with an annoyed sneer on her muzzle. She turned to face her trainer at the time, a black adult male leopard with cold ice blue eyes.
"Daemon, this is battle training, blows between opponents are supposed to be hard. Besides, it really wasn't that hard," Umbra replied, shifting her gaze from the angry black leopard to the otter whom was writhing in pain on the ground in front of her while groaning.
"Oh... maybe it was pretty hard, " She muttered, giving the female otter a sheepish smile.
Daemon stalked up to the two females, grabbed Umbra roughly by the shoulder and spun her around to face him quickly. Umbra's eyes widened in surprise quickly before narrowing her pupils into slits as she glared at Daemon.
"Outside."
"What?"
"You heard me," Daemon growled, "outside."
Umbra growled at her trainer before turning around and reaching her hand to help the otter up. The female looked at the wolfess' hand then up at her face before glaring and swiping at her hand. Umbra whipped her hand back faster and glared down at the injured female, growling loudly.
"Umbra! Outside! Now!" Daemon hollered, pointing towards the door while a low growl was rumbling from his throat.
Umbra snarled at Daemon before trotting past him and out the door. She slammed the door closed then turned around and rested against the wall, crossing her arms while glaring and growling. Two passerby's made a wide arc around her and Umbra rolled her eyes before throwing her gaze in the opposite direction.
"I DON'T NEED HELP! I'M FINE!"
Umbra's ear twitched as a shout came from a hallway not far from her. Her eyes narrowed but she didn't move forward as the voice sounded like it was closer. Umbra listened closer and, sure enough, there were footsteps that were heading in her direction. Metal and two members of the Pick Up team exited the hallway and turned right, towards her.
"I told you a hundred times and I'll continue telling you, I. Don't. Need. Your. Help," Metal snarled slowly, as if the two trying to help him had a learning disability.
"But Metal, your heavily damaged, limping severely and-"
"SHUT! UP!"
Umbra took a moment to do a quick look over of Metal as they approached. Sure enough, Metal was limping badly and banged up just as bad but, if he was in a fight, it looked like most of the dents were focus on his chest and shoulders. Umbra stopped looking him over as they were closer to her now and turned her attention to the two Pick Up team personnel, one of which she recognized. Both were males, a brown coyote with dark amber eyes and a deep blue cougar, whom she didn't know.
"Metal, please, if you won't let us help you, then please find someone else," The brown coyote pleaded, emphasizing please with his whole body.
'Unnecessary', Umbra thought with a flick of her ear. Metal turned his head to snap at the coyote when he caught her eye and his ears perked. 'Couldn't have asked for better timing', He thought before turning to the two Pick Up nuisances and jerked his head at her.
