Mike's POV:
I sat next to her whilst she slept, restlessly inside Castle Byers. I never understood Will when he spoke about the upside down, but at that moment I did. It was so cold and dark, just like at home, but isolated and lonely. Her skin seemed to glow like a lantern; a tiny beacon of hope. She was back, she was mine. We would find a way out - together.
I couldn't stop staring at her; longing to reach out and let her know I was here, but I didn't want to wake her.
She would wake up soon.
I could hear the whistle of the wind outside, and the breeze was coming in through the gaps between the branches. I tiptoed over to the corner of the little fort, grabbing an extra blanket to drape over her.
I turned around to see her wide awake, staring at me. Eleven. She looked so old now; her hair was long and wavy, shimmering healthily in the faint light. Her light brown eyes sparkled brighter than any star in the sky. I ran over to her with my arms outstretched, letting my tears flow freely as I clung to the one person I love more than anything.
We sat there, entwined in each other's arms for what felt like forever, when she pulled away. I had so many questions, but I couldn't bring myself to ask them. Not yet. I wanted this moment to last forever; the moment I finally found her. I brushed back the strands of hair that had fallen over her face, and leaned my face towards hers. As our lips touched, I knew that all of the pain had been worth it. She was mine, and I was hers.
I felt that fire begin to burn in my stomach, and I knew - this time - nothing would let it burn out...

So I was planning on making this chapter super adorable, but I'm not sure I really achieves that. I hope you like it anyway, it's the Mileven reunion so it's pretty important!!!
