I'm currently 17, I'm turning 18 in two months.
My mother passed away when I was 6. I don't have much memory of her. Once I turned 12 my dad started to work, a lot.
He barely ever came home. He came home drunk more nights then I can count.
He didn't truly love me. No one has. Until the day I met Sofia.
I met Sofia when I was 14. I don't have very many friends in school. I have a couple people I hang out with. But I'm a quiet person, I'm extremely shy.
I heard my phone go off and I checked it. I was in a group chat.
Alex: there's a party this weekend. You all should come.
I sighed rolling my eyes. Great. If Sofia goes I'm going. But I don't like parties. There are always so many older people. Plus we have a gang problem around here. If they kidnap you; they won't go to jail, It's allowed.
You don't wanna be kidnapped by a gang leader. If you do get kidnapped.Then you're really stuck.

I'm Sofia Baldwin, I'm 19 years old.
My life, definitely hasn't been the best.
When I was growing up my parents were crack heads, we lived in the straight ghetto. My parents didn't really care for me, I fed, bathed and did everything myself.
I never had a family besides my mom and dad. But then they died in a drug bust when I was 14. I was at the house when it happened but I ran out of the house before the cops could find me. The cops shot my parents, so I had no one, I was on the streets.
And that's where I stayed, on the streets. I slept on park benches, stores and plenty more places. Defiantly ran into a couple gangs but I knew how to handle them.
But then I met Ariana at school, I didn't talk to anyone at school. Everyone looked at me like I was the mysterious bad girl. No one ever talked to me because they were scared.
But Ari and I became lab partners, and then are friendship bloomed into what it is now.
She's my best friend, and I currently live with her. Without her I'd still be out on the streets. And yes I drag her out to parties every now and then, but it's fine.
"Ari, we're going to that party wether you like it or not!" I yelled to her in the other room.
