Chapter Two ~ How Could This Happen?

I ran back to the village screaming for help. The villagers ran out of their houses looking at me frightened. The chiefs ran towards me asking questions.

"Ada! Where is Isa?!" My parents questioned with concern written all over their faces as they ran up to me

"She got kidnapped! It's all my fault," I answered solemnly.

As soon as they heard those words come out of my mouth they let go of me and a look of shock written all over their faces

"Everyone please come out, Isa has been kidnapped!!!" Isa's father yelled out to the village as he ran to the beach.

My parents ran after him in a hurry. I was left to myself, I started to walk to a home we were staying at, giggling to myself as I walked away.

After I heard the words come out of Ada's mouth I realized that my darkest fears came true. I started to run off to the beach, not thinking of what I was going to do when I got there. The villagers came out of their houses looking all worried and started to follow me with weapons.

After we got to the beach all we could see was a far away ship leaving the island. My wife came up to me and started to hug me. She put her head on the crook of my shoulder and cry. I couldn't hold it in any longer, I broke down and we fell to the ground crying and yelling.

The other chief and his wife came up to us joined into the hug. Soon the whole village came together and hugged us.

I have no clue what will happen now. My daughter has been kidnapped and we no longer have an heir.

I may never see my dear Isa ever again.
