Ch. 10: Bullies and Surprises

After I had gotten home from walking  Leo home, my mom offered some more tea as an apology. This time I dumped it down my sink drain cause I didn't want to take ant chances.

I also left home early for school again.

What bothered me though was that I still haven't seen Orion again. I'm worried something had happened to him after my mom came into my room. Leo had been affected because he was part demon, so what would happen to Orion since he was cursed by one? No that I care....okay I do care, and I'm really starting to worry.

Arcane High was empty once again, so instead of going in by myself I decided to sit outside. I don't want to give any more spirits a reason to hate me. 

Speaking of spirits, the rapier Marcie had given me disappeared, and I have o clue where it went. I'm a little worried that my mom might have found it. Who knows what that woman is capable of.

I decided to try to call Orion, but all I got was a voicemail. He still never explained to me how he can hold everyday items when he is invisible.

Darn, I'm still thinking about him. I really am worried though, but why? I mean, he's a jerk! He's so mean to me, and he's a pervert.

I glared at no one in particular, "You better be dying somewhere, making me worry like this."

"Who are you talking to?"

I turned to see two of my classmates watching me. One of them was Riley and the other Conner.

Conner is my age, has brown hair and eyes, and he is the hottest guy in school. He, unlike Leo, is not a flirt, and he is currently single. I don't know how that's possible because over half the girls in this school has asked him out, but he always says that he is waiting for the one girl he wants to pronounce her love to him hasn't yet done it. I, personally, think it's romantic.

Riley, on the other hand, is a bully. He also has brown hair and eyes, and he's a year older than me. That kid, has it in his mind set that if he bullies Sarah that she'll eventually fall for him. After a year of trying, and not learning, Sarah is still not his. What irks my nerves about him is that he has the nerve to flirt with me just to try to make Sarah jealous, but all it does is make her tease me about. he also looks like an idiot.

I smiled sheepishly, "Hey Conner."

Riley glared, "What about me?"

Conner smiled, "Hey, how are you?"

"Fine. Though I think your hair is messy today."

He just smiled at my rude comment, "Would you like to fix it?"

"Nope, everyone can see how unperfect you are."

"Nah, they'll just say..."

In unison we said, "Oh. how perfect he makes unperfect look."

We both burst out laughing.

For those of you who are like what just happened, Conner and I have this relationship where I offend him and we make fun of the girls who admire them. Also, he wasn't flirting with me. That's the way he acts around me because he knows I won't swoon at the idea of arousing his hair. I can't fall for his charms, so we play flirt with each other to annoy or make the other girls back off.

Now, I know why that other girls hate me for also befriending Leo.

Riley continued to complain, "Hey! Stop ignoring me!"

Conner sighed, "Yes Riley?"

"You're not supposed to be friends with Skylar."

"As your friend I say this as nice as possible, you're not in charge of me."
