Chapter 3

"Hey Megan, hey Bryce," a boy answered the door, Megan's mouth dropped, "OMG" she started to freak out, "h-h-I" she was shaking, "its true?!" she turned to Bryce, he was laughing, "your blushing," Bryce knew she was shy, Leondre grinned, "your accent omg, i love it, Brittish accents are hot," Megan commented while laughing. "I love Aussie accents," Leo smiled, "aw," she muttered, "lets go inside now please?" Bryce pushed past them, "you like her," he whispered, "we just met dude," Leo shook his head, "yea, weird how the first thing you do is hug her and you just met," he explained. "In a friend way," Megan pointed out, they all walked inside awkwardly, "why wasn't i allowed to know who you where?" she asked Leo curiously, "well, Bryce caught you listening to hopeful and he figured you where a fan, he wanted to surprise you, but obviously you already knew," he laughed. "Oh.. yea i sort of did, also idek why i was listening to it," she blushed, "don't be embarrassed, at least i know someone is still listening to my old music," he though. "Have you seen Charlie lately?" Megan asked, "i don't really go to school much anymore, his also a bit busy with his homework, year 11 is apparently hard," he rolled his eyes, "i don't think i will make it to the end of this year," she laughed, "why do you think that?" Leo looked worried, "well i've been having a shitty week, everyone has been picking on me, i don't have friends, Charlie is my only friend, his not even talking to me much though," Megan looked down sadly, feeling a bit lost and down. "I'm sure things will get better, Charlie is famous, he has a lot of friends, he will try his best though, i will be here for you if you need me, do you need a hug?" he tried to cheer her up, she looked up at him and smiled slightly, she opened her arms and he wrapped his arms around her. Bryce came back into the room after grabbing some popcorn, he looked over the couch to see them cuddling, "um.. ok then," he confusingly sat on the chair, away from them. "I've lost my best friend already, great.." he mumbled, "i heard that, dude i'm just comforting your sister, its not like you will do it," Leo was tensing and feeling frustrated but deep down he was falling for her. "Lets watch a movie," Megan suggested, cutting the negativity, "yea lets watch a scary movie," Bryce suggested, "no.. i don't like them," Megan admitted, feeling embarrassed again, "its ok, im here, scaredy cat," Leo teased her, "hey, i am not scared, i just prefer animal documentaries and adventure or comedy," she half lied. "Alright," Bryce put on Child's play, "fuck you," Megan thought, they watched it for 30 minutes without getting jump scared until there was a scene where Chuckie went right up to the screen with a bloody face, that's when it caught Megan's eye and she started to fall into the couch with panic in her eyes. "Are you ok?" Leo turned and looked at her with alarm, "i'm fine, just getting comfortable," she sarcastically sighed. "I'm going outside to play with Yuki, i am bored," she excused, walking outside, the puppy wagged his long furry tail as he saw her, "hello cutey," she called to his and he came running over to her, she pat his round patched head softly while smiling. "You really are beautiful, you remind me of my old dog Duke, he was a Cocker Spaniel, similar to the Springer Spaniel but smaller," she felt a tear run down her face, "very similar indeed," she thought. She was out there for 40 minutes, the movie had finished, Bryce and Leo walked outside to find her, "you came here for food, you gonna at least eat something?" Bryce was stunned by the sight of Megan sitting down and not complaining about having no food in her stomach. "I'm not hungry thanks," she insisted, "that's weird," he thought, "you love animals?" Leo smiled, "i have a passion for them, i wanted to be a vet but i don't think i will make it into university," she frowned, "you will if you apply yourself enough," Leo encouraged, "i don't think so," she stubbornly replied, "i think you will," Bryce added on, "we both support you, stop being so negative," they continued, "its hard," Megan argued. "Whatever," Bryce went inside onto his phone, "mum sent me a message," he shouted, "she said she has to go to work early so she want Megan and i to stay over here overnight.." he explained, "i think im going to sleep outside then," she complained, "um..." Leo was reading her mind, "don't worry, nothing will happen, your safer inside the house anyway," he insisted. "Yea, what am i thinking, i guess i have trust issues because i encountered a fuckboi the other day and yea.. i got away," she shook thinking about it. "I hate life, its messed up," she cried, "i'm sorry you feel that way," Leo frowned, walking into his room and going on his phone. "Hey Charlie, i know your probably not gonna see this but i just want to say, man, i miss you, you where right. She is a insecure and lonely person, she knows you and probably trust you more so i want you to come over, hope to see you soon," he sighed as he sent the message. "Leo? are you there?" she peeked into his room and sat down next to him, "i wonder what my old friends would think of me right now, not that i will get to talk to them, my mum made me delete them on everything to start a 'new' chapter," Megan was so disappointed. "I wish i could cheer you up," Leo felt her pain, "you make me happy being here," Megan looked at him with passionate eyes, "stay strong," he replied. "Listen to my song, 'stay strong,' you should be happy," Leo smiled back at her and looked right into her eyes.
