Chapter 5

"How dare you speak to her like that, we are over Vic and you know it, get over me, i've moved on," Leo went in front of Megan to protect her, "but.. she hurt me... right now i guess," she went to her seat awkwardly. Leo looked at Megan who had her head down, he knew she felt hurt and was screaming inside, "stay strong babe," he hold her hand proudly and didn't look at anyone staring at them. They sat on the chairs at one of the benches and waited for the teacher, "i'm so glad we only have Victoria in our class for food technology," he rolled his eyes at her. "I'm sorry you had to hear that, she is such a bitch," he hugged her comfortingly, "hey Megan, are you ok?"

Megan turned to see a familar face in front of her, "CHLOE!" she pulled away from Leo and hugged her, "what are you doing here?" she cried. "I moved because i was having a hard time like you, you can't keep me away forever you know, i do miss my bestfriend," Chloe smiled, "i missed you," Megan admitted. "Aw cute boyfriend you got there," she changed the subject, "yea i am pretty cute," Leo laughed, "your Leondre Devries aren't you, Lily is obsessed with you, mind if i take a selfie, send it to her to make her flip out?" she asked cheekily. "Sure," he grabbed her phone and took a quick selfie as the teacher enter the room. "Thank you," she whispered and put her phone away, "partner?" she went over to a blonde, tall hot dude. "Sure," he smiled, "aw  think Charlie is crushing on her, his blushing," Megan laughed, "haha, he hasn't been this brightened in forever," Leo was happy for him. "Give it a few days and they will be dating i bet," Megan predicted, "maybe," Leo started to get out the equipment needed to make cookies, Megan went to the table to get the ingredients. She handed the cookie dough to him, "i'm gonna decorate two giant gingerbread cookies and make them look like us," he decided creatively. "Aw that's so cute," she smiled, "like you," he flirted, "hey, you two, stop gossiping and get back to work," the teacher ordered grumpily. They both turned around thinking it was then getting in trouble but it was actually Charlie and Chloe talking way too loudly. They where having sword fights with the rollers, "wow guys, very mature," Megan laughed. "What, I got bored k," Chloe excused, "I don't really think cooking is the best," Charlie admitted. "This is the first time ever today has been good," Megan sighed. "Let's just decorating these please, I just got them out of the oven," Leo was impatient. "Ok," Megan grabbed the icing and started to decorate some round cookies, she wrote their names on it "L+M = ❤" she smiled. Leo wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "cute," he was impressed. "Chloe and I are making a broken heart and we are gonna put it together," Charlie explained, "cool," Megan nodded.

The bell rang for recess and the 4 walked out together while eating their cookies, Bryce came upto them, "uh maths was so tiring- Chloe? What are you doing here?" He asked curiously, "I'm here because why not," she snapped smartly. Bryce backed away a bit, "the guys and I are gonna go play footy, catch you later," he walked off to play with his mates. Charlie and Leo glanced at each other, "we should make another EP about them," Leo whispered, "yassss," Charlie agreed excitedly. "Ik that look, what's up?" Megan asked suspiciously, "nothing," Leo pulled her close to change the subject. Charlie and Chloe walked off to a bench to go on their phones. Charlie was planning the next song lyrics, "a good title would be 'heros' it should have Leo saving Megan from depression and since I got Chloe here to Megan I should add that," he wrote in his notes. "What are you doing?" Chloe asked, tilting her head curiously, "planning stuff," he replied. "What kind of stuff," she snatched his phone to read it, "omg aw," she handed it back, "don't tell Megan," he begged cautiously. "I won't, she is gonna be so happy," she smiled, "I love being a good friend," Charlie was proudly lifting his head high. "This is gonna be lit," Chloe jumped up and was already thinking of the music video. "Megan and Leo could be at 'school' and Megan is walking around lost till Leo comes upto her and helps her, sort of like 'stay strong' that was a good video," she admitted. "We can't copy that though," Charlie pointed out, "true, we will think of something, I could be texting her to ask how she is and she could say, 'I'm doing good' but really she is crying on her bed." She though smartly, "good idea, then maybe you surprise her the next day like you did now but I'm a more exciting area like the front gate." Charlie was writing all this down quick and happily, "it feels good doing something good." Chloe was hyper and couldn't wait to make this work. "We are gonna go get some food," Leo called, grabbed Megan's hand and leading her to the canteen. "I might just get a chocolate cookie, I'm not that hungry," Megan looked down, Leo could tell what she was thinking. "Hey, your beautiful the way you are, don't be so insecure like that, your not 'fat' or 'overweight'" he persuaded. "Thanks," she wiped a tear and ordered what she wanted, only a cookie though because she didn't actually have a lot of money. "I could have bought you something," he offered, "I'm fine." she walked away and sat down, saying nothing. Leo followed her and looked at her with hurt eyes, "seeing you sad is making me sad," he sighed. "I'm sorry," she hid her face with her hair, Leo lifted it off her face and kissed her, "please stop hiding," he stubbornly asked.
