My stomach felt tighter, much tighter. I stirred in my sleep making the connection tighten, I opened my eyes letting the brightness of the day adapt to my vision. It was a beautiful, warm day. I was even sure it had stopped snowing, that I was happy about. I could finally get my body temperature back to the way it was. Tingles drifted around my stomach when I looked down at two strong arms wrapped around my waste. Jon's grip was tight around me, like a child clinging on to her mothers leg. His breath changed from slow and steady to fast, he was awake but stayed still and his arms didn't loosen. The blood in my body speed up, my breathing hitched. He was awake, why wasn't he moving? I felt his eyes scanning the side of my face, instantly making my eyes shut to hide any sign of me being awake. What was this feeling? Warm, safe, happy, strong, powerful all in one. My body quivered as his grip left my body, it was gone too quick. The bed shifted and Jon left the bed, leaving me alone as he made noises in the other room attached to his. Then I remembered last night when he said I needed rest, what for?
"Wake up, you need to get ready." His first words of the day sounded husky.
"Ready for what?" I rubbed my eyes in attempt to look like I just woke up.
"Sansa has given you some clothes, you can use them until some are made for you." His muscles tensed as he pulled a leather string on the familiar vest ignoring me, "Your lip has healed."
"Ready for what?" This time I made sure I was clear standing up, walking over to the autumn colored dresses. He continued to get ready, I was sure I was transparent. I walked past him making sure to skim his shoulder to know he knew what I was thinking, cock. I shut the door behind me in the small room filled with clothes, his clothes. Even if I was blind I would still recognize his scent anywhere. I precisely peeled off my sleeping dress and pulled over a slight thicker dress. It felt soft against my skin and was a little loose, I was much shorter than Sansa.
"For you." Jon held out a pair of brown silky boots, "They will help in the snow."
I stared at them for a few seconds then back up at him, his posture was straight. There was something intriguing about him and something urging me to find out what that was. Why did he hate me, but still care for me.
"Ready for what?" It came out just louder then as whisper as I took the boots and slid them on cautious of the bottom of my feet.
"Hunting."
The warm sun finally shone through the clouds melting the ground, small puddles everywhere and small piles of snow still present. The village was full of life, I made sure to look through every window on the way out. It may be small, but it was full of life and culture something that I love to encounter. I followed Jon outside and down some stairs to the main courtyard, something I am already familiar with. It was very beautiful, even more so in the day. Around eight men roared among each other sharpening, or preparing their hunting weapons. One tall man sorting out his arrows noticed us walking and an instant smile spreads across his face.
"Jon." His arms spread out much like his smile, Jon chuckled embracing the man, smacking his back.
"And who's this." The man catches my eye, my body aches standing there beardless and out of place, this time having a few more eyes staring at me. Jon lets go of him and walks a few steps back to me, "Is she who all the fuss is going on about? What was it? The girl in the blizzard." He searches my face, as well as the rest of the men.
"She mustn't be from around here, she's seen more sun then most of us." Another man spoke. I didn't notice that my skin color was different. My skin was slightly darker then Jon's, but it was more natural then the sun.
"Are we ready to get dinner?" Jon broke off all attention to me, the man Jon hugged smirked before walking off towards horses followed by the men, "Can you ride?"
"I've never seen a horse, only in books." I answered truthfully trying to get a closer look at the phenomenal creature. He narrowed his eyebrows at me, laughing in confusing.
"You are joking."
I shook my head keeping my eyes on the horses, a dark black one caught my eye. He had a saddle on, I read about those too. It was so big, magnified. Its fur reflected the sun and I was now close enough to touch it. It was as if the horse knew I had never seen one before, it moved its head to my hand and I lifted it up on its smooth nose and stroked it with my thumb, I instantly smiled.
"This is my horse, Belle." He patted her neck, his shoulder pressed against mine and he smiled down at me. I smiled back then focused on Belle again, she was truly beautiful, "Come on then." He lifted me up and before I knew it I was sitting on top of Belle, so high up. Jon swung his leg over shortly after me and mt face met his back.
"You're a natural." He looked back at me smirking, "hold on tight." I shook my head and did what he said, wrapping my arms around his waist.
