I decided I wasn't hungry, so I stayed in Jon's room alone. I must be use to staying in one place because I am not good at seeing too many different things within a day.
I threw on whatever the material on the bed was, immediately shivering at the fuzzy, soft sensation of the shirt. It must be something that goes under a coat.
"oh." I mumbled, running my hands along the purple fuzz.
Relaxation hit me. We're going for a ride, but where?
"Are you ready." Jon walked into the room, snow falling off his shoulders onto the floor. Although it didn't seem like a question.
"Do I get one of those." I pointed to the thick coat he was wearing.
Not that he was looking at me, or listening. My eyes automatically squint at this oblivious man grabbing things from around the room. He throws something my way and it lands at my feet. The fabric had rough fur on it, and from what the candle light exposed it was brown.
"Creative." I snickered as I wrapped the coat around my body. Or should I say I wrapped the dead deer around my body.
"It wasn't my idea. If it was I wouldn't have even eaten the damn thing." He snarled with vial in his tone.
"But you did."
"Did I? Because I am sure my dinner is deep down in my dog's stomach." His eyes pierced into mine as he seethed at me.
"I'm not going." I blurted out in defense.
What have I done to this man to make him despise me so much. He thinks I killed that deer to somehow insult him. I am not going to continue letting him treat me like I've tried to kill him or something.
That's not a bad idea actually
"You don't have an option girl." He snapped, placing his sword into his sword holder around his waist.
"No, but I have legs."
"Yes, something we have in common." Jon remarked.
"What makes you think I won't jump off the horse and run." I challenged him, tilting my head slightly. However my challenge didn't last long as a small chuckle left Jon's lips.
"You won't want to be out there alone, now follow me." He motioned me with his long fingers.
"I won't be alone, deer seem's to find me." I gloated, pointing to my coat.
"Follow me."
I smiled at his cold tone. Who knew that treating him the way he treats me would make me feel satisfied. I decided to follow him out of the door and into the cold world. Soft snow fell from the trees creating a snow floor.
"Where are the horses?" I questioned, looking around the courtyard from the top of the steps. Once again he ignored my question and continued walking down the steps and around the corner.
"oh."
I mumbled as I turned the corner to see two horses, one being Jons. They both had blankets and leather bags on them. I watched as Jon climbed up onto his horse, before staring down at me. I could see his eyes glistening in my direction. One thing I gained from where I grew up, was good having good eye sight in the dark. My eyes seemed to adapt fast.
"Do I need to put you on?" Jon's voice ripped me out of my thoughts.
I shook my head before jumping on the horse and stroking his neck. I kicked the horse slightly acknowledging him to walk. Jon cantered past me, almost calmly as we entered the gates.
