chapter 6

~ Hanna's POV ~

I made it home safely without anyone knowing I was gone. I slowly tip toed to Riley's & Tanner's room. I quietly did our secret knock and waited for them to open the door. They carefully opened the door and smiled when they saw me. They let me in and I set the food on the floor and we sat down and started eating. Tanner started talking about what he liked about chicken nuggets. That kid could always entertain me. He had such a unique imagination and I loved it! It sometimes kept me calm.

When we all finished I thought it was best if I went back to my room, "Im gonna go to my room okay?" I told them. They just smiled and nodded.

"Thank you for supper." Riley said hugging me. I smiled and hugged him back. "Yea thank you Hanna." Tanner said hugging me and Riley. These two were the cutest. I wish I didn't have to let go of them but I did. I let go and slowly tip toed back to my room.

When I was back in my room I put on my pajamas and laid down. I was tired but couldn't sleep. All the events that happened today kept replaying in my head! I mean THE Katy Perry saved my life! No telling what that bastard Matthew was gonna do to me.

Right when I was fixin to fall asleep I heard sirens and a lot of them. Oh no! Katy Perry called the cops on Matthew! That means he would probably be running which means he is more than likely to run here to hide. Great. Just more to make my day better. Sure enough there were fast knocks on the door and footsteps running around the house. About five minutes later I heard footsteps running up the stairs. When they got to the top they started beating at my door but the good thing about cops after someone here is that they knew they couldn't be very loud.

"Hanna. Open this door. Right now." I heard Kim say.

"Why would I do that?" I said with a hint of sarcasm.

"If you don't open the door right now we will break it down." She was trying so hard not to yell at me.

"Do you think that's a good idea? I mean the cops are just around the block. All I have to do is scream and they'll come." I said as cocky as I could. I wasn't really going to do that but they didn't know that.

Before I knew it I heard a key and they were unlocking my door and grabbing me. Kim had one arm and Nate had the other. They carried me downstairs and threw me on the couch.

"What the hell do you think you're doing sneaking out?!" Nate asked screaming at me.

"Feeding the children you never feed." I said staring right into their eyes.

They started pacing the room but I still didn't see Matthew. I figured he would want to watch me get in trouble but I guess he was hiding in Nate's office.

"You are gonna be in so much trouble you little brat." Nate said gettin in my face. I just rolled my eyes. Kim saw what I did and smacked me. I grabbed my cheek and looked at her. She just smirked.

"You better start watching your mouth around us, or your life is gonna become a living hell." She said staring at me.

"I thought it already was." I said with an attitude.

"That's it! Nate I can't put up with her anymore!" Kim said looking at Nate.

"Well what are we gonna do with her?" Nate asked looking back and forth from me to Kim. Kim apparently got an idea and looked at Nate and whispered something in his ear. Nate agreed and they walked back in his office. I didn't know what was going on but I sure didnt want to find out.

A few minutes later they came back in the living room with rope and duct tape. Crap. This wasnt going to go good. Nate grabbed me and started to drag me upstairs. I tried to fight back but it was no use. Nate was ten times stronger than me. We got upstairs to my room and Nate threw me on the bed.

"I didn't want to do this but you've givin me no choice." Kim said.

"Here's an idea, why not just become better people and maybe you wouldn't have a daughter who has to take care of your other sons?"

"Nate tape her mouth shut first!" Kim said gettin annoyed. Nate obeyed and taped my mouth shut. He was smiling the whole time! Next thing I knew my hands were behind my back and my feet were tied to the bed post.

"Now that's better." Kim said leaving the room with Nate.

I can't believe they just did that! They tied me up in my own room! This can not be happening! I have to take care of Riley and Tanner!




~ Katy's POV ~

I still couldn't believe I found Hanna so quickly! I mean I thought I would have to really search before I found her. I guess I was just meant to find her , and save her! And what did Matthew mean him and Hanna go way back? Surely he didn't know she was his daughter! I never told him we, I mean I had a child and he was the father. The only people that knew were my parents, my brother, my sister, and Shannon! But it still bugged me that Hanna snuck out. And to go to McDonald's? Something wasn't right about that. Maybe I should go visit? No, it was probably best if I stayed away till I knew she was ready or when I was ready for that matter.

"Katy were home. Are you sure you're okay? You haven't said much the entire ride home." Shannon said with concern in her voice.

"Yea no I'm fine! Just thinking about what happened with Hanna." I said giving her a small smile. She smiled back and we went inside. We got our food and went to the living room to watch tv. I was hoping the tv would distract me but it only made me think of Hanna more. I needed to talk about it and I knew Shannon would help me with this situation.

"Hey Shannon? Don't you think it was weird that Hanna jumped out of the car? I mean we were trying to help her."

"I thought about that too. Maybe she wasnt used to people helping her? I mean she did sneak out just to go to McDonald's. I don't think many people would have to do that."

"Yea I guess you're right. It just bothers me. And how did Matthew know Hanna? I never told him about her and all he does is do drugs and run from the police"

Then it hit me. Maybe Hanna doesn't live with loving, caring parents. Maybe she lives with drug dealers. I didn't like the idea of my only daughter living with drug dealers. At that moment I knew I had to get my daughter out of there and home with me.
