chapter 4

~ Hanna's POV ~

It was to dark to see who just pushed me but it hurt! Was it Nate? Or Kim? Why would they beat me again?

"Miss me Hanna? It's been a while since I've seen you"

Matthew.

"W.. what do you want..?"

"You know exactly what I want."

When he said that it sent shivers down my body.

"M.. My money..? M.. My phone..?"

"Oh that's cute." He said before he punched me in the stomach. "Ill tell you what, if you can be a good girl and keep quiet then ill let you go, alive."

I gulped. I didn't know what to do but nod.

He smiled. "Good girl." He then grabbed my arm and started taking me to his car.



~ Katy's POV ~

As I got closer I could tell the little girl was terrified and looked like she had already been beaten up. I needed to save her! I was a few feet away when the man grabbed the little girls hand and started dragging her to a car. I couldn't let them get to that car.

"Hey! Let her go!" I covered my mouth when I said that. Why did I just do that?! I don't have a plan! Now I put both of us in danger!

He turned around fast and I could recognize that smug look anywhere.

Matthew.

He grinned when he realized it was me.

"Hey Katy! How you been?"

"Better without you. Thanks for asking."

"Oh how I've missed your witty remarks. What's it been? 14 years?"

I nodded. "14 years of an amazing life that started when I left you"

He started walking towards me with the little girl. She looked familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it.



~ Hanna's POV ~

I.. Is that.. Katy Perry..? What would she be doing here?! In this part of town?! She's going to get us both killed is what she's gonna do. I mean I'm grateful that she's trying to save me but let's face it, a LA super star trying to save me from a rapist? I don't think this is going to go down how she wants it.

"Why don't you just let the girl go and we can all be on our way?" Katy said backing up.

"Hmm see as much as I would love to do that I think I have a better idea. Why don't I keep the girl and take you with us and we can catch up just like old times?" He started pulling me closer to her.

"Stay away from me Matthew. And stay away from her. She's just a teenager. Leave her alone."



~ Katy's POV ~

He keeps getting closer to me! I can't just stand here and let him get to me but I can't leave this girl here with him!

"Oh you wouldn't believe this but me and Hanna here go way back!"

Wait. Hanna? Did he just say Hanna?! It can't be. I.. Is that my daughter..? I knew she looked familiar.

"Hanna are you okay?" I asked her very sweet. She nodded trying to hold back the tears.

"Let her go Matthew."

"Or what Katy? What are you gonna do? Hit me?"

Before I could think about what I was doing I kicked him in the balls. When he bent over and lost his grip on Hanna I grabbed her hand and ran towards the car. We jumped in and locked the doors. I pulled out my phone and dialed the police. Shannon was walking out of McDonald's so I told her to get in the car. Before she could ask me questions about the random girl in the back or why I was in a hurry and out of breath I took off.
