I wrap my fingers in patterned band-aids, my fingers still faintly stinging with slight pain.

Virgo rolled over onto her stomach,"What're you doing?" she spoke with her mouth open, I could see pieces of chips on her tongue.

I gag,"You're disgusting."

She places another chip inside of her mouth, chewing on them loudly,"And also more responsible than you- so what're you doing?" she stares at me impatiently, before placing her chips down on the ground.

I hold my hand out, and place my index finger to my lips, soundlessly asking her to shut up.

I finish by wrapping my pinky with a star patterned bandaid, Virgo rapped her fingers against the ladder and looked up at me from the bottom bunk bed.

I hold out my hand in her direction to cover her existence, I loosen my fingers and stare at her through the gaps in my fingers, making eye contact with the lazy woman on the bed, I grin,"I'm making it seem like I actually work hard."

Virgo scoffs and rolls her eyes,"Hurry up and get to your job you slacker."

I laugh, putting my hands half up in the air, surrendering, "Okay, okay if you want me gone that much." Virgo scowls at me and rolled back into the corner of the bed.

I hear a small guttural groan faintly whispering what sounded like a have fun, I call back loudly, locking the door with a click,"Will do."

I fidget with the strap of my bag on my shoulder, it was cold in the waiting room of this modern hospital looking building, I ought to have put on and off my band aid at least a hundred times because they were itching and my fingers couldn't bend properly in the little plastic coffins.

I must've stared at the receptionist for a little too long because his eyes were switching confusedly between me and his computer. I slowly move my eyes across the room and sweep my eyes across a young male, without my glasses his face seemed like a monochrome smear on my pillow.

I grab my contact lenses from my bag and slip them in, blinking a few times because the world seemed to swirl.

I stare at a skinny, wimpy looking man, and beckon him over. I'm taller than him by a couple centimeters, he reminded me of some sort of beagle, I look down at him with indifferent eyes and tap my watch,"It's 2:00pm already, and you asked for me at 1:30?"

I raised a brow a grinned,"You're a little late by 30 minutes, my name's Alice Grey, would you mind checking if I actually have an appointment?"

Beagle's eyes widened and he stumbled over his words, trying to reorganize himself,"I'm Andy, I'll go get Mr. Rafael right now." he pointed behind him, I stopped him,"Last name?"

He shook his head,"Just call me Andy."

I raise an eyebrow, oh-so mysterious, he must be fun at parties.

He pointed at a room labeled,'the gates of hell.'

Okay, no it didn't say that but in bold lettering,'conference room' was spelt out across the door, Andy spoke up,"Just wait in there, i'll get Mr. Rafael in a second." and he scuttled off like a little hermit crab.

I open the door and it smelled like citrusy wood, I sit on one of those rolling chairs, I spin myself around, crossing my legs on the chair and pushing myself with my palms flat on the table. I whisper to myself,"Crisscross apple sauce," I squint at the chair across the table,"Why apple sauce?"

The door opens after a curt knock and I am, unfortunately, still spinning stupidly like an idiot.

I ram my feet on the floor and I stop spinning abruptly, the chair almost toppling over, I look up, my hair a mess.

It's just Andy, he whispers his eyes smiling,"Mr. Rafael will be arriving soon, he offered you muffin basket?"

I scrunched up my nose,"I don't really like muffins that much, you can keep them for yourself."

Andy looks perplexed,"Uhh?Thank you? I guess i'll take my leave now-" he murmurs and begins to close the door, I hold up my hand,"Ah- wait," He looks back in expectantly,"Is it Raphael with a ph or Rafael with a f?" he nods and mutters,"The latter."

"Like the ninja turtle?"

He stares at me his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.

Why is he so surprised?

I shake my head,"You have to learn to speak up."

The door shuts with a soft click.

So was the ninja turtle spelt with a ph or a f.

I check my watch and it's already 2:21, I roll my eyes and sigh.

The door is opened and I stand and my eyes clash with a sharply dressed man. Good looking but he seems boring.

I raise a brow when he sighs, seeming tired and bored, I was more bored than he was and he had the nerve.

His unimpressed eyes flicker to my pink hair and then roam over to my face and my themed plasters on my fingers when I raise my hand up for a handshake, he smirks and slowly lifts up his hand.

I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out so I try again, firmly,"Alice, Alice Grey."

We sit down and he talks on and on.

And then he questions about why I was fired from Walmart.

I stifle my laughter, since it was related to the skittles, I open my mouth again and paint my words with lies,"I was caught sleeping on the job."

Not a very honorable thing but it was better than the skittles.

Anything was better than the skittles.

It was a meager small white lie, but he looked astonished and he raised both his eyebrows, I bit my lip and stared at the floor counting frantically so I wouldn't snort loudly and blow the whole thing.

He stares at me for a long while before he rolls his eyes and checks his watch,"I see."

I space out for a couple of minutes thinking about the fat boss lady at Walmart.

Mr. ninja turtle speaks up again,"Well if you do get this internship, I will not tolerate this kind of behavior, understand?"

I try hard not to say anything in a sarcastic tone,"Of course."

My eyes clash with his again and I mutter bitterly under my breathe, "So its you who waltzes around the place, making me wait for an hour?"

I walk out of the building, my heart thumping in my throat wildly, I grin, I got the job.
