I quickly walked  out of the conference room right after Alice,  to get to my next meeting but, I couldent help but notice her retreating figure as she walked off to her new desk.

Quickly snapping back to reality, I braced myself for the agony of having to participate in the meetings to come.

Its been a few hours now and Ive found myself staring at the clock the office wall. Why is time so slow when I need it to speed up?

Oh god coffee would be amazing right now.

"Miss Grey, get me an Expresso, quick" I said through the phone on my desk.

No one replied

"Miss Grey", I said once again, but nothing happened

I groaned inwardly, I'll talk to her about that later.

I left the office and walked towards the coffee machine at the end of the hall and immediately caught sight of her pink hair, as it was such a contrast to the bland walls.

There was someone next to her, who I recognized as Felix, one of the tour guides for the museum.

Its her first day and she's already lounging around and talking to other men.

How frivolous.

The sound of my shoes tapping on the marble floor echoed through the hallways as I walked over to them.

"Felix"

"Yes sir?" He replied in a small voice.

"I suggest you go straight to your stand or I will have no choice but to fire you, for distracting your co-worker. Understand?"

"Of course sir, I'm terribly sorry." He whimpered

"and Alice, stop slacking off. I do not want to see you speaking to him at work again. Now get back to your desk"

When I turned around to leave,I found her staring at me with a bored look on her face.

"Well, what are you staring at? get back to work." I said coldly

"Yeah okay." She said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.

Behind her in the window, I could see the silhouette of one of her fingers pointed upwards.

She just flipped me off.

Is it bad that I'm contemplating firing her on her first day?

I couldn't help but snort at that.

I guess she realized that I noticed her 'friendly gesture' that was directed at me, because she stared at me wide-eyed, and ran back to her desk. I rolled my eyes and left with the coffee cup in my hands, and silently admired this gift sent from heaven.
