new neighbor

Today was so great!!! I went to my friends (lils) house and we hung out all day. We played football, baseball, basketball you name it. We went shopping and I grabbed some sweatpants and some t-shirts for when I lounge around the house.

It was near 5 in the afternoon so I told lils I was gonna head home and chill. So I got in my car and drove back home. On my way home I noticed moving trucks and people pulled into the house across the road. There was people outside unloading furniture and a few little kids playing around.

I pulled into my driveway and gathered my things as I got out. I got out and made my way through the door to lay my things down on the counter. I walked to the bathroom and took a shower.

I soon finished so I wrapped a towel around me and walked to my room to get dressed. I searched through the clothes I got today because I wasn't planning to go out anymore today. I put on gray sweats and a dark blue Hollister to go with it.

I put my hair in a bun and made my way back downstairs to the couch picking my phone up on the way. I say down on the couch and went on my phone to check my notifications. As I clicked on my messages I heard the doorbell ring so I made my way to the door as I put my phone in my pocket.

I opened the door to be greeted by a young blonde haired boy about my age.

"Hey, I'm Blake. I just moved in across the road" he said extending his arm.

"Hi, Y/N. Welcome to the neighborhood. Please come in" I said opening the for further so he could enter. "Please have a seat"

We sat down on the sofa and chatted a bit. "So what brought you to this part of town?" I asked curiously.

"My dad got a job offer here and he took it. So he decided it would be better to move closer to where the job was at" I nodded and smiled.

"Where are y'all from?"

"Texas. Cypress, Texas" he said smiling

"Oh OK"

"Do you have anything planned for the rest of the day?"he asked looking away

"Um, actually I don't. Why?"

"I was kinda wandering if you could maybe show me around some. But if you don't want to you don't have to!" He said

"No, I'd be glad to. But we gotta get something to eat first, OK?" I asked as he nodded and we stood up. I grabbed my things and we walked out of the door. I locked the door and followed Blake to my car.

Once inside, we talked about all the different places here and where the would go after eating.

We soon pulled into a small cafe and got out. We walked inside and found a seat. The waited came and got our order as we continued our conversation from the car.

The waitress came back with our food so we ate and just talked about anything that came to our heads.

As we finished, I paid and we walked back out to the car. We had decided to go to the beach and just walk along the water.

We got to the beach, we took of our shoes and began walking. The sun was beginning to set in the distance. We walked up to a peir and decided to sit. We watch as the sun set behind the mountains.

It was late so we decided to go home and I'd just show him around tomorrow. We made it back to my house and we walked to the door.

I put the key into the lock but the door had already been unlocked. So I walked inside to see or parents standing in the kitchen talking.

"There she is" my dad said putting his arm on my shoulders. "Y/N, this is my employee" he said as I shook the man's hand.

The man walked past me to Blake. He put his hand on Blake's shoulder and said "this is my son, Blake" as my dad shook his hand

"And it looks like y'all have already met" my dad said as him and the man laughed

"Well it getting late, we're gonna head home" the man said shaking my father's hand

"Alright see you tomorrow"my father said as I stopped Blake before he exited the house

"When you get ready, just come on over and we'll go" I said smiling

"OK, see ya" he said SURPRISINGLY HUGGING ME!!

We pulled away from the hug and I smiled as I shut the door.
