Amethyst's POV

The day is here. The day that I will run. Susan and Martin have explained the plan countless times. They have utter faith that the plan will work.

But I have a bad feeling for tonight. I cannot explain it but I know something bad is bound to happen today.

Shaking the thoughts off, I hear the light steps coming towards my way and see Susan entering the passage.

"Hey sweetheart... Are you ready.?? They have reached the mountains and it would take them minimum 8 hours to reach here, so you will be very far before they even know that you escaped."

I get up, careful of the little princess in there.
She has been restless since 2 days, moving all around and kicking around. Me and Susan go the ground floor through the stairs where Martin is waiting for us. Martin lights up when he sees Susan.

"Hey darling, all set..?? The warriors are patrolling the borders and I am the only one guarding the house, so we won't have a problem getting out till the borders. Let's go."

Susan gives me a backpack. I look towards her with a questionable face.

"I have a feeling that our little princess will be joining us soon. She is getting a little restless inside. So I have prepared for it. Take it. It has all the essentials. I pray to goddess, that you reach your destination soon and may you never ever encounter this monster again." Susan said while keeping one hand on my belly and other on my head, blessing both me and princess.

Feeling tears gathering around my eyes, I look down.

Fact is, I am going to miss Susan and Martin both. I don't remember my parents. But Susan and Martin have done more for me and I don't know how am I ever going to repay them.

I tug on the backpack and the floor length hood that Susan gave me. Putting the hood up, we start our journey towards the borders.

We have a silent walk through the forest. Susan is humming a tune and Martin is keeping a watch on our surroundings in case of any danger. We could see the borders when the forest became less dense.

I stilled when I felt someone's aura nearing us. "Stop..." I whisper quietly knowing they would hear with their werewolf hearing.

They stopped and looked towards me, waiting for an explanation. Suddenly Martin snapped his head towards the path that we were going. He backed up so Susan and I were behind him.

"What are you doing here Martin..??? And What is the bitch doing outside its cage...!!??!??" The warrior Levi, if I remember correctly, growled out causing Susan to flinch.

Martin seeing this, snarled back and started shifting to protect us, knowing that our secret is out.

His clothes got ripped during the shift. His chocolate coloured wolf stood along side Susan.

Susan got the dagger out and pulled me behind her. Seeing Martin and Susan in a defensive act, Levi too shredded his clothes and shifted into his blond wolf and growled out a warning to back off before it's too late.

"Susan.... please don't... it's not worth it... let us go back before you both get into more trouble..." I whispered to Susan, the bad feeling in my stomach growing.

Hearing this, Susan turned around and glared back at me.

"No Amethyst..!!! Don't you see..!!! You will never get out of this place, if you think like that..!!! You have someone else to live for this time...!!! I want you to have it..!! I want you to live...!!! Do this for me, my child... Don't give up now..." She completed her angered sentence with a plead.

Hearing about my princess brought me out of my scared reverie. Susan was right. It was not just about me this time. Princess moved around steeling my decision about getting out of this hell. I felt my powers buzzing inside out, wanting to let out.

"Susan... Could you please guide me..??? I have never used my powers and I want to help you both... But I don't know how to..." I said feeling uncomfortable.

"Honey... I cannot guide you in this, for I am not a witch. That is something that will come to you... Your mind and your heart are synchronised. They will guide you. But I just want you to create a shield in which the princess stays safe... Let your body and mind guide you in this..." She said with twinkling eyes.

I put my hands on my stomach and closed my eyes.

"включен щит( shield enabled )" I murmured.

I felt a barrier forming, an invisible hue surrounding my belly. After the hue disappeared, I still felt my powers pulsating in me, making me twitch.

Levi, probably feeling my powers howled loudly alerting the other patrol guards and warriors. They howled back and we felt the vibrations of their paws signalling their arrival.

He growled and charged towards Martin, hue eyes holding madness. Martin, in turn snarled back and got into fighting position ready for Levi's assault.

When Levi was about to reach Martin, he stopped and lunged for Martin, aiming for his neck. Martin having anticipated his move, crouched low and head butted his chest making him wheez.

While he was recovering from the head butt, Martin lunged at him, grabbing his hind leg between his canines making Levi howl in pain. Martin scratched his paws on Levi's side, making him bleed.

The sight itself me freeze on the spot.

While Martin was fighting with Levi, three more patrol and warrior wolves came in. After accessing the situation and looking at me, they snarled and started advancing towards Martin. One warrior headed in our direction, while the other two continued towards Martin.

Martin having heard them, grabbed Levi from his scruff and threw him towards a nearby tree. Levi slumped down, having no fight left in him. I felt his aura weakening, knowing he was about to die. Martin turned in the other direction growling at the other two.

While he was handling the other two Wolves, Susan got her dagger ready. The warrior pounced on her. The dagger merely pierced his ear before he tackled Susan down, hovering over her, snapping his teeth.

Susan was doing her best to avoid his canines touching her.

I knew I had to do something. Martin could not protect her. He was busy with the other two. My hands started feeling warm, the power making my hands twitch.

A fire started in the pit of my stomach, spreading all over my body making me feel warm. I felt my powers pulsating, wanting to be let out.

Drawing my hands towards the wolf, I tried remembering the chant that the voice once whispered. My hands started trembling, I felt sweat gathering on my forehead.

With a loud snarl, the wolf tore Susan's neck off at the same time the light beam struck him, making him hit the tree. His eyes rolled back immediately and his breathing evened out.

I heard Martin's sorrowful howl, before he tore off the wolf's neck. I fell on my knees, keeping my eyes on Susan's bloodied body.

"Susan..!! Baby. Please wake up... please sue..! Please baby... wake up... wake up... WAKE UP SUSAN..!!!!" Martin kneeled near Susan's body and yelled.

"I am so..sorry Martin.. I
