Promised

Chapter 4: Things Happen

I was walking home that day because my mother gave me a ride that day, I thought that Nick would give me a ride after school like the times he has done before but he didn't text me or talk to me after his friends. A car pulled up next to me and it was an unfamiliar car it gave me the chills.
"Hey sexy, how about you get in the car and show me a good time?" The strange man said
I didn't saw anything and kept on walking there was a café up head so I can get away from him. "Come on sexy, just get in the car and I'll drop you off here when we are done"
I saw Nick and his friends at the café his back was toward me so he could see me, but his friend Alex the one who basically told me to go away saw me, he rolled his eyes once he saw me. I guess that was a sigh to Nick and he turned around I stoped and realized the guy was right behind me. He opened the car door. His hand was over my mouth and Nick got up from his chair, his friends told him to sit but he shrugged Alex off cause he was blocking the way.
"Hey! Get away from her" Nick yelled at the guy. The guy tried to put me in the car but I fought I was kicking him and he had the upper hand cause he was older, taller and stronger than me and he used all his mighty to put me in the car I was also screaming. Nick ran up to the guy "Just let her go!! Let her go!!" Nick was trying to get the guy off of me some of Nicks friends came to help him Quinn, Danny's girlfriend called 911. The guy had one hand on me agents the car and the other fighting the guys. The police came and the sirens scared the guy and he let go of me and I fell to the floor. Quinn helped me, she asked if I was ok and hugged me. We weren't friends or anything I think she just felt bad for me. The police trapped the guy from getting away and arrested him or brought him in for questioning, they asked who was responsible for me and Nick was going to say him but I didn't let him, cause I was still mad at him and I responded I was responsible for myself. They brought me, Nick,Danny,Alex and Quinn into custody to see what really happened. They all called there parents, I was offered to call mine but I didn't. When Nicks parents came into the station they gave him a big hug than saw me in the chair and put there hands on mine for a second. Nicks mom sat next to me to see if I was ok and I responded fine. She asked if my parents where coming I responded no. She looked worried for me.
"Ok kids you can all go home now, go rest, we will give you a slip to miss school tomorrow you have been threw a lot today." The sheriff said to us
"What about the guy?" Nick's father asked
     "Turns out he has been human trafficking young girls for over 5 years now, and you saved your friend here today. He is going to go away for a lon---g time. Thank you everyone." He more told to Nick than anyone else, the sheriff than walked over to me and asked if I was ok again.
     "I'm fine" I said even tho I really wasn't, I could of  been a part of human trafficking. I was definitely not fine.
