Annabeth's Point of View

I couldn't decide. There were two different dresses to wear to my date with Percy tonight. One shimmering gray, with sequins in the shape of owls. The other was beautiful, blue, like the sea, it was embroidered with waves. I decided on the gray, I didn't own any jewelry, so I had to borrow some of Pipers. 5:30, great, 30 minutes until Percy would come to pick me up. I turned around and looked in my mirror. Wow. My hair was curled, my lips were splashed with red , and my eyes sparkled. I thought Piper had not done a thing, but looking at myself now, I actually understood why Percy loved me.

I glanced at the clock 5:50. I waited on the Grace's porch for Percy to come and get me.

Percy's Point of View

I frantically looked around my bedroom. Glancing anxiously around I saw my nightstand drawer, a spark of light inside, I reached for it. And snatched it up, then I turned around and saw the clock 5:50. NO, I thought 10 minutes until our date!  I flew out of the house and sped down the driveway, luckily the restaurant was only a block away. I turned the opposite direction to the Grace's house.

I could see Annabeth from the sidewalk, looking betrayed, her true love had not  shown up on one of the most important days of her life. I thought to myself 'You had to screw it up Percy! You just had to!! You had gotten Mr. and Mrs. Chase's permission that you could marry their daughter AND YOU SCREWED IT UP' Then when the night couldn't get any worse, the earth began to shake and I fell to the ground.

I staggered around on my knees resting on a fence for support, I could hear screams in the distance, followed by sirens. The last thing I saw was Annabeth, clinging to the Grace's porch fence for dear life, calling my name.

 Then I blacked out.

Annabeth's Point of View (10 minutes before Percy Blacks Out)

I stare out at our house in the distance. Piper and Jason live on a hill so I could see everything inside The Pomeranian Line. The house is carved into the face of a small hill along the banks of The Little Tiber.I am feeling a little stressed so, I let my thoughts drift to weddings and babies. Would the wedding be on a hillside, a church or a beach? I immediately know that if Percy and I have a child they would have and aura 10 times more powerful than both of us combined. I think of the ceremony, the guests, who the maid of honor would be, then I see something that jolts me back to reality.

I see Percy sprinting from our house, up the street and when he gets to the the neighbors at the foot of the hill, the earth begins to shake, forcing him onto his knees. He climbs as I cling, shouting for him to take cover, but it is to late. A chunk of the building falls right onto his head, and he collapses.
