Lexi's P.O.V.

Sam and Grayson went out last night, and I'm assuming we weren't gonna see them. I walked into our room, to see Ethan laying in bed on his phone. I had gone downstairs to get breakfast. I walked in silently, not wanting to disrupt him.

"Hey Lexi." He said, not looking up from his phone.

"Hi." I said quietly, sitting down next to him.

"What's wrong, babe?" He asked, sitting up, and putting his phone down. He put his hand on my leg.

"Fans were bugging you yesterday. It was hell for you." I felt a tear slide down my cheek. I heard him take a deep breath.

"Lexi, it wasn't your fault." He said, wrapping his arms around me.

"Yes it was! I should've just answered the question and they wouldn't have bothered you as much." I said.

"They still would've asked me anyways. It's not your fault, baby, I promise." He said.

"...okay." I sighed. I wiped the few tears that slid down my cheeks. Ethan lied back down. I lied next to him.

"Thank you." He said, after a few minutes.

"For what?" I asked, looking over at him.

"For staying with me and being here for me. Dad having cancer, Grayson's anxiety. He really appreciates you. Thank you for staying with us." He said, kissing my temple.

"Ethan, you don't need to thank me. I should thank you for staying with me." I put my hand on his chest, feeling his precious heart beat.

"I have something planned for today." He said, smiling.

"And?" I asked.

"I'm not telling you." He said.

"Fine. I need you to pick something out for me to wear." I said.

He got up and walked to my suitcase, on the floor by the bathroom. I waited. He walked back towards me, holding a sexy dress I brought with me. It was a short, black tight dress. It was lacy and the top had a sweetheart sheer neckline, then the back had a triangle cut out. It was one of my favorite dresses, that's why I brought it.

"Really, E?" I asked, smirking.

"Of course." He winked. I got up and took it from him. I went into the bathroom to get ready.

"I'll miss you." He said.

"Miss you too, Eth." I laughed. I took off my pajamas and slipped the dress on. It looked pretty good on me and fit my curves. I had threw my hair in a bun this morning so it was pretty messy. I turned on Pandora and started to get ready. I curled my hair, and even did my eyebrows. (And my highlight was on point.)

"Lexi are you ready yet??" Ethan asked me. I looked at the clock. I'd been in the bathroom for 45 minutes.

"Shit, sorry Ethan, yeah I'm ready." I said, opening the door, to see him sitting on the bed, looking at me in awe. He had on black slacks and a white button up shirt. He looked hot as hell.

"Damn Dolan." I said, putting my nude heels on.

"I could say the same about you..." He said, licking his lips.

He walked over to me. "Ready, my princess?" He asked.

"Yes, Prince Charming." I smiled. He laughed. We walked down the hall to the elevator and down to the lobby. We walked out to the parking lot and got in our rental car. Ethan drove us into town.

(Sorry guys, forgot to mention we are in Italy.)

"Ethan! That's the Venice Grand Canal!" I said in pure delight, looking out the window and the river going between the softly lit streets of Venice. I looked over to see him smile at me.

He pulled into a little parking area and we got out. The air was surprisingly not cold. I interlocked my hand in Ethan's. We walked along the street.

"Here we are." He said, as we turned into the doorway of a little Italian restaurant.

"Aw Ethan this is so cute." I said, walking inside, the air smelling delicious.

"Only the best for my girl." He said, kissing my hand.

"My girl". I love it when he calls me that.

"Table for two?" A waitress asked us.

"Yes please." Ethan said. We were seated at a table near a window so I could see the canals.

"Can I get you two something to drink?" She asked, with an accent.

"Do you have a pinot grigio?" Ethan asked her.

"We do."

"We'll have that." He said, as she walked off.

"Were seriously having wine?" I asked.

"Why not?" He asked.

"Well we are in Venice...oh well. It's not like I've never had wine before." I said, picking up my menu.

"Wait what?" Ethan asked.

"I've had wine before."

"When?" He asked, curious.

"I'm in high school. Parties." I said simply.

"Right." He said, looking at his menu.

I laughed quietly.

"What?" Ethan asked me, laughing a bit too.

"You're just really adorable, Ethan." I said, winking at him.

"No that's you." He said, as the waitress brought a bottle of white wine and two fancy glasses. She poured them and walked away without saying anything.

We picked up our wine.

"Let's make a toast." I said, before either of us took a sip.

"Okay." He said, smiling.

"To love?" I asked.

"To love." He said.
